He's a wolf. You can google wolf villagers and find him. The only fox in the game is Redd.

While some villagers have designs that make them look like certain other animals, they can still be found in a specific group. For example, if you google alligator villagers you will find Drago who is clearly a dragon, and if you google wolf villagers you can also find Kyle who looks like a hyena. :3

i think kyle is the only one who isn't truly a wolf, but he's based off of an african wild dog.
