Thank you. We're a bit concerned because I have a family member who lives in kersbrook, right where it is. We don't know if she's lost her house..

Whoa, that's bad. Hopefully you stay safe! A few years ago, there was a practically Giga-Sized fire near Austin, and it burned a large part of Bastrop County. Also a few years ago, there was a fire at Possum Kingdom Lake, but it wasn't anywhere close as big as the Bastrop County fire.

Jesus, I hadn't hear anything about this til now.

I really hope you and your family are safe.

i remember once i woke up and it was really smokey and hot outside and no one was home and there was all this fire **** on the radio but they wouldnt say where and there were no cars on the street and i thought we had been evacuated but everyone was just gone

@newleaf there was a terrible fire in our history called Ash Wednesday. They've compared the conditions and this current one is apparently worse..

I hasnt seen anything posted.. I was going to post last night but I was so tired.
We are in the safe zone but if it comes any closer to the suburbs.. I'll be so scared.

Stay safe everyone. I hope the South Australian wildfire doesn't get as bad as the Great Fire of San Francisco in 1906.

No. No it does not. It has not happened in my area since the 80's. Today's conditions have been described as even worse than 'Ash Wednesday'

Yes, it is. But natural disasters are devastating. Australia is very dry in summer. Please, if you're going to comment, do some research. Or atleast post something nice.

Edit: ALSO it is highly possibly that this fire could continue to burn for over a week.
Animals, homes and land have been lost. Be a little more sensitive and respectful :l

No they kind of do happen like every year

Should we send a bunch of squirtles, todiles, and mudkips to help put out the south Australian wildfire? I'll need a whole army of them to end this.

I hope you are able to stay safe. If there is anything anyone can do to increase awareness or help in any way, please share with us, I would love to do my best to help!

Wishing the best for you and anyone else who may be affected by this :( ♥♥♥
