Guilty! I have so much stuff I don't need in there, I'm always struggling to find room. The Storage Room update in Welcome Amiibo was a blessing, but it's starting to get filled up too lol.
Gonna have to dedicate a play session to clearing it out.
I've started selling items that I won't need in the near future as soon as I buy them. That way I have them in the catalogue and they're not filling up my closet.
yes but only with unorderables or items from R.Vs i cant get myself. i never usee them but like what if one day i want to ;-; so i never clean anything out
yep! i need to start putting stuff i don't need in my storage room, because i'm tired of buying a lot of stuff at someone's town, and then having almost no space to put it in the lockers ://////
I am a terrible hoarder and always manage to quickly fill all available storage spaces, including the ordinary closets and dressers, saved envelopes in the post office, the exhibit rooms on the top floor of the museum, and the Secret Storeroom. It's mostly unorderables, whether it be holiday furniture, event DLC items, items exclusively obtainable in other countries that I purchased from the forums' Re-Tail section, or furniture made available by the Welcome Amiibo update. There are also usually the odd clothing items, especially shoes, as I like to switch up my outfit as close to every day as possible. Thankfully a good portion of what I currently have crammed into my main town's Secret Storeroom are items for rooms I have planned in my other towns after I expand the characters' houses fully to fit it all. I assume I'll inevitably fill that back up with other Welcome Amiibo items, but yeah.
Yeah, I'm definitely a hoarder. But I try to clean out my storage and dressers about once a month. Also, anything unorderable that I know for a fact I won't be using/putting in my museum, I store in a letter and save those at the post office. That way it's out of sight, out of mind, but still there. I also buy and sell orderable stuff for my catalog. Since I don't need the bells, I just sell it right back to the Nooklings, just so I won't be tempted to take it home.
That's me! If I can't reorder it or I like it, it get's shoved in the drawer or storage unit. I totally need to trade the stuff I am never going to use for the stuff I actually need. Hmm... I'll go do that right now!

i've been so lazy lately that when i do a big purge of unorderables, i don't even come onto the forums to sell/giveaway... i just sell it all and pretend i didn't just do something wasteful heh
I only hoard things I can't back easily, like my 7-eleven, fueki, sloppy sets, etc. If there's anything I can get back through the RV, I'm more than comfortable throwing it out.
I am trying to do the minimalist approach with all my characters ? only using what they need. But the items are so cute in this game, I find it hard to even try to attempt that. For the most part, I do exactly what you do and utilize only the new amiibo storage! I like to keep our basic storage clear just in case there may be any trades/I buy things, but have no more inventory and instead then access my locker. Why are the items so cuuuute in this game!!!
Oh yeah, I'm a bad hoarder. I have a hard time remembering that I can just re-order things that I think are cute. I think that comes from playing the GameCube version where it took me MONTHS and MONTHS of play to get two freaking tulip chairs.
