Is Aika village hacked?

Im sure this will be taken down eventually, but im just curious if Aika villager uses hacks? Im not personally interested in hacking my town at all if thats a concern. Thanks

Hiya! Not a professional, expert opinion but despite looking like it is hacked, I'm very sure that it isn't hacked because it doesn't feature things like having stuff on the Plaza that isn't possible, and such. I think it is just very cleverly made.


I doubt this will be taken down, but if it is in the wrong place, someone will just kindly move it. I doubt hacking would have been a concern, if you were going to do it as that is your personal business and no one should be able to scrutinise you for it, unless you are abusing that power. Don't quote me!

It never came to me that Aika village is hacked. Usually I would be able to spot things. The creator of it probably just spent a lot of time on it since it came out earlier in Japan, so yeah. I don't see any easy-to-spot hacks or anything that goes over any restrictions (For example: A water fountain on the town plaza or something). So I don't think it's hacked, but it might be. I don't think so though, I just think it's a beautifully made town

actually, to some degree it is hacked. it's not hacked in an obvious way, but in a more subtle way. when people think of hacked towns they automatically think of things on the town plaza, or overlapping pwp, some people do hacking in such a way you wouldn't notice it first hand unless you've hacked yourself, other people get to crazy with it >.<

To be honest, no. It couldn't be, as it was created before the current hack tools were made, and I think they stated in an interview that they made it using the game featured.
I agree that people stereotype hacks. I've seen some really neat towns that have PWPs in different places, or permanent campers, and to be honest, I dislike hacks like

there's another town, that's a story of cannibals I believe. That one freaked me out a lot more than this one. This one is the after math but the other one you walk right into it, I don't know why it hasn't been mentioned on here >.<

You're thinking of Hitokui. Aika has the haunting factor, while Hitokui has the gore.

They had hack tools before the ones people on here are familiar with. There was even someone who pointed out the placement of certain objects etc. Couldn't be done without a hack of some sort.it just at the time wasn't at the same level hacking is at right now.

Also the way (at least when I went) one of the players came out, what the other players would say and certain dialogue was done with a sort of hacking method. No one would ever state they hack in an interview as Nintendo would just shut it down, even if it is one of the most popular dream towns

I doubt it, I think the town in general isn't that scary. I is actually pretty boring in my opinion.

Time traveling isn't hacking, but it is technically cheating, so neither one of them are considered playing the game like you are supposed to.
