Is a 2nd town worth it?

I've been thinking about getting an extra copy of ACNL for myself, both to stop the reset bug I've caught and to develop and play on more naturally, not as much TTing and such. I already know what I'd call it and how I'd design it. It wouldn't be for a while since I don't have money right now lol but my question is, would it be worth it?

Alrighty, guys, I decided to buy a second copy! You can still post though, I love reading what you all think. c: I think I'll keep Tadfield as my personal town and my second town will be my developed town, my "tumblr town" if you must.

Personally, I think so. I always have the urge to reset my town, even though I just started it a month and a half ago. I used to have another copy that I used as a cycling town, and it was well worth it.

if you want to build another town and feel the AC experience all over again then by all mean, yes.

If you want a new experience BUT don't want to restart your current town, a second one is totally worth it! :)

It's totally worth it. If you already have an idea of how you want it to look like and what to name it then why not just buy it? With the second copy, you can get new villagers that wouldn't move into your main town (especially if you maxed out the villagers in it). It's a whole new experience so yeah, it's worth it imo.

Edit: I don't think you should reset your town. That's a lot of progress being lost and sometimes, you will get that guilty feeling for resetting. If you are feeling bored with it, then get a new game. It's just like painting. Sometimes you get bored of your painting and don't put energy in it and that's a sign to start a new one. Once you get bored of that one, switch to the first one and it will be like a new experience. Hope this makes sense.

I think it is worth it! I have two towns and I really like it. I love my main town too much to reset it (and I'm not even done with it lol) but I felt I really wanted to design a new town, have new villagers and be able to play in different seasons so I got another copy and I love it. If I don't have time to play in my second town I'll just write down the in game date when I last played and then start playing from there. I see no downsides to having multiple towns except for money ^^'

I have two copies and I'm happy! It's fun to create two completely different towns, you'll have up to 20 villagers instead of up to 10, and if you have a second 2DS or 3DS, you can transfer things easily. However, it can be very time-consuming to play both at once. :p

It is so totally worth it! I demand you buy one right now and start a second, WONDERFUL town!! :)

Hey, thanks so much, guys! I think I'll buy another copy! Keep watch in my sig for my new town within the next month or so ;)

Definitely worth it. I've completed my main town and now I have my second town to work on, really excited to show it off in the Dream Suite someday :)

I've thought about this as well. I have a habit of wanting to start a fresh town every time I return from a short break, so I feel like having another copy would be a nice solution. That way I can still continue the town I've been working with for so long.

Absolutely. While it is double the effort/work you need to put into creating your town (if you even care about doing so), it's worth it. You can get up to 20 villagers, you can handle signature collections on your own, you can get amazing turnip deals (like my main is selling for 404 so I'm buying in my alt town and selling in my main, I've made millions and gotten my gold turnip badge), different native fruits, different layouts, etc, etc. It's so fun having two towns with two mayors. Part of me wants a third but I don't think I could keep up with that many.
