Well I saw this movie, and what can i say, it was bad, really bad, the story had plot holes everywhere, it seemed rushed, too many sub plots, screen writing wasnt as nearly as good as the first, war machine or w/e was his name was was dumb... actually they didnt even call the characters by their "super hero" names, except for iron man, they changed the black guys actor, which sucked, they went back to more of how tony was at the beginning of the first, which was lame, and finally key plot points didnt come together well.. yeah, thats all i have to say, the effects were nice, but the overall film just wasnt that great.

im out, peace.

Basically, you just said "it sucked" with no details to support your ideas or pretty much anything.

Well, in Spider-man 3 (as well as other super hero movies) they never used the villain's names.

I thought the movie was a lot better than I first thought it would be. I thought it was actually a pretty good super hero sequel.

i actually thought it was gonna be pretty good from seeing the trailers, but... yeah, didnt care for it, i didnt like spider-man 3 as well, thats another one i think they tried to pack too much into.

I thought War Machine was War Machine and Nick Fury was Nick Fury and Black Widow was Black Widow.

You obviously don't know their "super hero" names.

i obviously do, because i know they didnt use the names even once in the movie. durhur.

Yea, Justin Hammer called Rhodes War Machine once. Nick Fury was called Nick Fury throughout. And I thought it was pretty well done. And what you're telling me is that they should have done a four hour movie to fit EVERYTHING you want into it? It was a two and a half hours long movie. I thought it was pretty good. And I thought the actor that played Rhodes (if you're gonna rant, do it right and say James Rhodes or Rhodes instead of saying "that black guy") did pretty well. Could you really have seen the other guy in the War Machine suit? Nope. And they really don't have to say the names. I could thrash the first batman (with christian bale, that is) for not calling the Scarecrow by his villain name. Never once did they mention that he was the Scarecrow. And the reason why he went back to that way is because he knew he was going to die. Did you even see the movie? The part where he asked Black Widow what would you do if you were going to die or something like that. And so he had a party and acted like a jerk. What key plot points didn't come together? You do realize most other characters backstories would either be in their own movie or in the avengers movie?

Also: I found it pretty funny how Tony used Captain America's shield to prop up his generator.

they shouldve cut some stuff out, like i said, too many sub plots.

do it right and say James Rhodes or Rhodes instead of saying "that black guy"
cant be bothered/you know what im takling about.

Could you really have seen the other guy in the War Machine suit?
sure why not?

not calling the Scarecrow by his villain name
they did call him scarecrow, go watch the movie again.

What key plot points didn't come together?
they did just in awkward ways, due to the screen writing.

You do realize most other characters backstories would either be in their own movie or in the avengers movie?
theyre making a movie for every single avenger member?

Yeah, for those in the Avengers movie, including the re-boot of Spider-man.

Justin Hammer AND Tony both referred to Rhodes as War Machine once. They didn't use Whiplash's name, but I know Nick Fury was used a lot, and I heard Black Widow at least once.

And Tony reverted to his old ways because he thought he was dying, which, in my opinion, was a good point for the story. You'd expect him to be more heroic and responsible than in the first, but his impending death led him to live recklessly.

I think the new actor for Rhodes (forget his name at the moment) did very well, and fit the role just as well, if not better, than the original.

I will agree, they did spend a bit too much time setting up for Iron Man 3/the Avenger movie, but I don't think they overdid it to a point where it ruined the movie.

And I think the various sub-plots came together well for the most part. Tony was trying to find a new element to replace the plutonium (think that's what it is, may be wrong); Rhodey tried to defend Tony, but eventually decided Tony wasn't responsible enough to handle the Iron Man suit, and stole what would become War Machine; Justin Hammer wanted to show up Tony after Tony embarrassed him at the trial, and thus stole Iron Man suit technology from Rhodey's War Machine; Ivan used Hammer's trust and technological resources to build Whiplash to get revenge on Tony for their father's quarrel.

In other words, Ivan stole from Justin, who stole from Rhodey, who stole from Tony, who was acting irresponsible because he thought he was gonna die. It all came together nicely at the end, in my opinion.

I like how Marvel is connecting all the superhero movies to make it feel like one big world. I think it's a great idea.

Lol, i know.

I just saw the movie, and it was pretty damn good if you ask me, although the Whiplash fights were pretty short.

On another note, that little spinning thing in Pepper's office was distracting :P

i dont know what the deal is, but does anyone know how exactly tony knew how to make the new element?

and movie about black widow has to happen. just saying.

that scene where she changes in the car made my day.

Yup. Black Widow was the best character in the whole movie.

Spider-Man is involved with this too? I thought he would be excluded since his film rights were owned by Sony.

Is there any proof? =O

The diagram of the Stark Expo.
Remove everything but the houses, and it looks like an atom diagram.

Also, the reason why Don Cheadle replaced Terrence Howard is because Terrence Howard was asking for such a high salary, even more than Robert Downey Jr. himself. They tried to make a deal, but it didn't work out.
