I am wondering if this is true. I invited Ankha to come live in my town. Since she is snooty, I was expecting to have to work hard to earn her friendliness like I did with the snooty Yuka, who was a real pill at first. But I noticed Ankha was pretty friendly with me from the get-go. I am wondering if that is a result of my inviting her to live in my town. Could it be that the invitation skips you forward in the friendship level a bit?

maybe, same thing happened to me. She just moved in and she's hasn't been rude to me. I also started off my town with Olivia and she wasn't rude to me either.

Well, there's also the fact that snooty villagers seem more nice in New Leaf. But I'm sure inviting people to move in increases friendship right away!

All of the personalities are pretty friendly in New Leaf. It's not like the older games, where some personality types act like they hate you until you build friendship.

I kinda wish this was still the case to some degree. Smugs are noticeable when they try to sell you stuff "at a profit" vs. at a lower price depending on friendship level, but the rest (except Uchis) are always pretty nice when they're not angry.

Yeah, they're definitely less mean in New Leaf, but still, Yuka was noticably cold with me in the beginning, and also would toss me the occasional compliment that was actually an insult. Now after a year of working on her, she's devoted to me, lol. So there is definitely a shift that occurs over time.
