Inviting campsite animals into other towns

I've seen a few people say that it's possible for friends to invite campsite villagers (the pwp, not campground RVs) to their own town. Can anyone confirm this? :0

I have Lolly camping today and I'd love to get my friend to invite her. I already have 10 villagers so I can't get her into my town to kick out later 8C

Sorry but it can't be done.I tried it the first time I heard about it not long after New Leaf came out and no dice.The camping villager never brings up the moving dialogue and just talks about how nice the town is,etc.

Yeah, it won't work. If had 9, you could invite her in and get her out later so your friend could adopt her, but directly from camp, they won't move to other towns.
There's always the villager trading plaza if your friend wants Lolly, though.
