Hi! This is a cute idea. I've only been playing for less than a week now (though I've done a fair bit of time traveling) and I am new to this forum but I'll still drop my hat in the ring.
My town is named Oofuri after the manga/anime series of the same name (full name, Ookiku Furikabutte). My mayor is Mihashi, the main character from that manga. I plan on making a whole Oofuri/baseball-themed town. Currently that is my only character (I did make a 2nd character but she is a temporary one I made just to see where a new villager would move in and I plan to delete her). In the future, when my town is more settled, I plan to make characters for more characters from that series. All of them will have baseball uniforms matching their uniforms in the show. (My mayor is currently wearing one such uniform that was made by someone on tumblr).
In my houses, I plan to mostly construct rooms that reflect different elements of Oofuri or baseball. I have plans for a locker room and a high school classroom. Also will probably make some normal rooms (kitchen, bedroom) based off characters' houses shown in the series. And maybe later some rooms with more custom baseball uniforms modeled. In the museum display spaces I want to set up some baseball or other sports-related display rooms. I don't really have many of these items yet but I've been picking up what I run across in the stores.
Currently I have a mix of villagers but I'd like to eventually have mostly jock villagers with maybe a few other ones that I like thrown in there. (Right now I have one jock villager.)
My big plan/dream is to set up a large custom baseball diamond in my town. I regenerated many times when starting to find a town with a suitable area (that didn't have a ton of rocks in it). The area I want to use for this is where my temporary placeholder character is currently living but I'll delete their house later. And hopefully not get any new villagers moving into that area, or I'd have to chase them out.
I plan to use the blue bench and stadium lights public works for my baseball diamond as well once I've unlocked those. So far the only non-main street public works I have are the fountain, 2 more bridges, and camp site.
So yes, right now the thing that would most help would be bells for home renovations and ways to get items to fit the themes I've thought up for rooms. I've been trying to grind a lot catching beetles but probably need to tone it down because my arthritis is really flaring now.
