Inventory items

I haven't been able to find this in any of the FAQ threads, but I was wondering if it is possible to move/rearrange items in your inventory. For example, I have several birthstones and an egg. If I bought a new birthstone, would I be able to move it to keep them all together? Some people have nice, neat rows of items.
