So what's your layout of your House(s)?
Jungle themed? Ocean themed? Some other theme?

Share your ideas here!

Right now it's a mess, but eventually I'd like to have a sort-of hotel or maybe an inn-type place as my Mayor's house. I don't know what my side characters will have though... I've been searching for inspiration but sadly nothing's come up yet.

Mine's like this:

Main room:
Has all the furniture from the cabana series, neutral wall & floor and decorated with Olivia's picture, plants, a harp, custom paintings on the wall and a music box (Comrade K.K., my favourite K.K. song).

Right room: the deck of a cruise ship or a private yacht: combines some pirate items for the nautical feel with luxury island items like deck chairs and a whirlpool bath. It also has chairs and tables to sit down and eat and a buffet to take coffee and cake.

Back room: a study room with some classic furniture, meadow vista wallpaper, birch flooring and a few red accents. Decorated with a sabertooth fossil and a poster featuring Enjolras (Les Mis?rables).

Left room:
Not creative at all. xD, displays the ice series with Merry's picture and an aurora screen.

Basement:
Nautical themed tv room to relax, featuring customized alpine, underwater floor and various nautical items like the mermaid statue, Cancer table, sailboat model (that an American player was so kind to get me, thanks for that!) and things like that. Also features subtle hints to Scandinavia. :)

Top floor:
This room makes my house actually liveable. It's an apartement with everything you need, including kitchen and bathroom. I mainly used furniture that's not part of a series like the cream sofa, fireplace and pine set. I decorated it with lots of my favourite animal crossing knick-knacks like Ankha & Rosie's pictures, a bottled ship, more plants, a windmill model, trophies, zodiac tiger, a violin, etc. Neutral wall and floor and K.K. Condor playing from a record player. :)

I recently finished my house and I'm very proud of it. :)

I'm thinking of, when I fully upgrade my house:

Main room: Mostly empty with a single table with object in the middle.

Left room: Bug/forest themed.

Back room: Artwork themed.

Right Room: Aquarium.

Basement: undecided.

Upstairs: Shrine dedicated to fruit.

Mayor Athelwyn's house:

Main: World traveler living room with reading nook (lots of Exotic furniture)
Back: Mermaid bathroom that bores me to tears. I think I'm going to redecorate it and combine it with a dressing room.
Left: Formal sitting room (violet Classic furniture, Berliner, choc. cake, afternoon tea set, fireplace with Maple's pic and flowers Kabuki gave me for Valentine's Day, harp, red stained glass lamp)
Right: Kitchen (with blue-trim wall and red tile floor, customized Alpine table and chairs)
Basement: Library (modeled after the Special Collections department where I used to work)
Upstairs: Bedroom (with Cabana furniture, Mallary's pic, and Maple's teddy that she said was her prized possession but that she gave to me)

However, my bedroom is too big, and my library is too small. I might swap them.

My main room is a mix of the weeding set and the egg set with a couple of plants to make it feel like an indoor garden. Upstairs is a mix of the kiddie set and some more egg set items. The kiddie set is customized in pastel. Then my basement is a green/plant room with some green set items customized in dark green and lots of plants. My house isn't fully expanded yet so that's all I got.

my entry room is the Throne Room; the back room is the Backyard theme; the room on the right is a Karaoke Party room; the room on the left is a Study/Den type room; my upstairs room is a Jazz Club room; and the basement is a Tiki Bar. :lemon:

Well my main room is a mess and needs sorting out! It is going to
be a cosy living room with books, chairs and a nice fireplace!

My upstairs is my bedroom (of course) and
has lots of plants and is pretty cosy! It is
made out of dark green customized furniture
and the cabin set (customized on the patchy tree
setting; they go surprisingly well together!) Thinking
about maybe adding some darker furniture in there
tho as I want to put in the classic desk but it looks
very out of place :/

I plan to have a white, green and dark brown kitchen

thinking about making the basement a library/study room

and a bathroom...tho I might scrap it and turn it into
something else but I don't know what yet!

My whole mayor's house is ment to be this
cosy log cabin and is all warm and friendly like...
I might change up my bedroom a bit but I'm not
sure yet...still looking on tumblr for ideas, haha!

Right now it's a mess due to trading. Once my catalog is finished being filled out, I want to make it into a version of my own personal sort of dream home. So, a huge kitchen, a small bathroom, a medium bedroom, a huge media center, etc. Basically, I won't be focusing as much on a theme or a series for my furniture as I will be on individual pieces showing off who I am as a person and what I want as a home.
