does anyone just love this game genre more than the others? i play a lot of interactive movie games like walking dead, life is strange, until dawn, heavy rain, beyond two souls etc. they dont require skills and is just so relaxing and you can just go along with the flow and you dont have to think much when playing playing this genre. i love other genres too like rpg but games like that requires grinding and so much more and they can stress you sometimes.
I've found I really have to be in a mood to play them and it of course also relies on the theme of the game. Heavy Rain I really looked forward to back when it was announced on PS3, kinda wanting to replay it. Tales from the Borderlands was my most recently completed story game and I started Walking Dead S1, though I've more or less put it off to the side for other games plus I wasn't feeling that drawn into the game.
Shoutout to Metal Gear Solid IV for being my favorite movie game.
I agree, they're easy to play and good if you just want to experience a story without having to really put in too much effort/energy like you would with other games. It's nice if I'm feeling lazy or tired. But that's the thing, I have to be in a specific mood to play that sort of game and enjoy it, otherwise I'd much rather be grinding for XP in an RPG or shooting something, yknow?
I really loved Heavy Rain, but I was very disappointed in Life is Strange. The ending was very underwhelming (especially for the alternate ending). I would love to try The Walking Dead one day though I really do like interactive movie games, but since it relies almost completely on the story, if it isn't done well, I just don't enjoy it at all.
Yes because I generally suck at story mode games because I eventually get stuck at a certain level and I give up. lol.
So far I love Until Dawn and all the Tale Tells game. I find the Tale Tells game so limited though, even though it said it's "tailored" all the options will eventually lead the same story line that the creators want to go.
