Many gamers have a favorite franchise that they love to play and talk about. Whether that be Animal Crossing, Mario, or even Super Smash Bros. fans adore the games and show their support on the forums. I have 3 favorite franchises. They are Paper Mario, Advance Wars, and Fire Emblem. Many of you probably don

Without any shadow of a doubt, Intelligent Systems is my all-time favorite developer. Helming the entire Fire Emblem franchise, Paper Mario, Warioware, and Advance Wars, the studio is just brimming with creativity. You'll be hard pressed to find a better studio. I'll admit it, I didn't know about them until around two years ago. I started reading about them, and took a look at their portfolio...

The previously mentioned franchises weren't the only games they made. They've also made the following:

Metroid
Super Metroid
Panel De Pon
Wild Gunman

And a few other games that escape me at the moment. Fact is, they're one of the most underrated developers in all of gamedom, and it saddens me that people think these great games are "made by Nintendo". No, not quite... IS is only second to TOSE in terms of being unrecognized.

The half made Super Metroid and family. They programmed it.

Yeah, the design was done by R&D1, I think.

I dare you to find a better company than Intelligent Systems.

I worship them almost as much as i worship Bulerias.
Nice to know you like a good developer less than a writer for an indie game website. You're cool.

While Intelligent Systems is not widely known the games they make aren't really indie.

If Inteligent systems made Metroid and Super Metroid wouldn't they have made Metroid 2 and Metroid Fusion? Or no since they are hand helds.

Also, my favorites are:

Metroid Series (excluding Metroid, Metroid 2, Prime 2, and MPH).
Pokemon Hand Helds + N64 (B/G/S/LG/E/D, TCG, Pinball, Stadium 1+2, Snap)
Mario Series (All Star {with all the different ones}, World, Tennis, New SMB, Galaxy, etc.)

Oh and I can't forget about the Yugioh series! Those are addicting games: eternal duelist, sacred cards, and dice dungeons (or whatever it's called), and Falsebound Kingdom (most addicting).

They programmed them but didn't develop it.
