Insanity

I don't care about this in the slightest, being Canadian, but it is a pretty crazy election. Even for you guys.

Yeah pretty crazy, I have no confidence in one of the candidates though.
I have little confidence in either, though Obama's speech last night was great.

let me just say this: Palin breaths new life into what could have been a very "crusty" ticket...

I didn't really care about the election until I heard Obama's speech last night...that was pretty good!

I still don't think I have much of a favorite, though.

In my opinion, McCain thinks that by picking a woman VP he will the Hillary votes (or the female voters) and it's just funny because he would've never picked her if there wasn't an African American running and a woman who was a strong candidate until the end. Republicans (in general) aren't about change, so it's also peculiar he picked a woman because that is not even close to being traditional.

Also, as Obama stated, McCain cares about the economy but he doesn't realize how bad it is because he's so rich and successful. Why would someone who has so many houses that they can't keep track of them honestly care about those who are in poverty and the millions of unemployed.

I don't see a debate here, do you? I'm just stating facts. Storm thought it was appropriate to talk about the Georgia-Russian conflict, so I think this is just fine.

it still is relating back to politics im sorry i have to argue this one. I cant see why i cant do the very thing this thread is about but yet you can.

Here's a question for you guys....

Did McCain pick Palin because he wanted to get attention? It wouldn't surprise me if she doesn't accept the VP nomination, and Romney or someone else steps in.... Sure this isn't just a publicity stunt?

I personally thought Obama's speech was great. That was the most power I've ever heard him speak with.

I just can't listen to McCain speak. He says "My friends" every other sentence and gets extremely annoying, actually to the point where I turn the channel.

When I was watching The Cafferty File, Jack said "This is a joke." That sums it up perfectly in my opinion.

This quote below was also well said.

All we have heard from John McCain for months is,

Honestly the only thing not the same between her and Mccain is age and sex.

She is very Republican on all the issues. Really I see this as a direct attack on the people who voted for Hilary, simply because they are both women. They really do differ on many issues if you look it up. Clinton is really pretty moderate, but definately leans with her party whereas Palin is completely with her party...

Also, I find it a little sad that this is the most exciting election in my lifetime. I hate politics, it is all really ridiculous.
