OK...There is this really obnoxious "vibration" like sound that gets louder as you approach certain areas, but I cannot seem to find what is making it! I have caught all bugs for this season except the mole cricket....so I am assuming that is what is making the sound....HOW do you catch this stupid bug??

And you need to dig near the area where the sound is the loudest you might have to dig a few times till you find it

OMG! TY...it is driving me WHAKKO!!! sadly.....It always seems to be loudest under a path...once you dig the hole, does it just jump out? Is it hard to catch...do I need to be super speedy? LOL

Yes, it does jump out of the hole. I guess you'd have to be somewhat speedy, because it immediately seats crawling away after you dig it out. So be sure to have your net equipped right after.

The mole cricket was my nemesis for a while. I am pretty terrible at catching ground bugs in the first place, but this one you have to dig and then catch. Yes, definitely have the net in your first pocket space so you can quickly put it in your hand. The saving grace is that compared to city folk, the bug does not scatter off as fast, but I still had some trouble with it. Good luck!

When I first heard it I thought something was wrong with the game. They can be a pain to catch.
Lot of come out of the hole and run over the holes. So you can't get to them in time. Or they jump out close to a cliff.

I actually got really lucky with the mole cricket. It happened to be in an area without paths, and I found it only after a couple of digs. It jumped out of the hole and started crawling away, but my campsite blocked it from going anywhere. It was my first time trying to catch it too.
When trying to catch one I only carry shovel and net. It gets louder as you get closer to it. If it's in an area where you have hybrids or bushes just walk around. That thing is everywhere. Oh, and villagers always asked me for one so I kept several in inventory. Not that they need that in their house!!!

I catched it once, and I'm not even going to try catching another one. The sound annoys me so so much. I can't wait for it's season to be over. Ugh.
