Hey guys!!! Little mini complain here!
So basically, I’ve played every game in the series and I’ve been a fan of this series for many years with nobody to play it with. I was content with this, but still since New Horizons became so popular I was very excited to see my (adult) friends had picked up the game too, and very excited to play the game together for once!!!
Only to get... A whole lot of, “Why haven’t you decorated your island yet”, “stop focusing on your house and decorate your island”, “why is there nothing on your island”
I’m tired of being told how to play? I’m playing this game in the same manner I’ve played all others. I upgraded my house, collected a ton of furniture, had a great time decorating it, chatted to the villagers and tried to raise friendship with my favourites and have been busy with filling up the museum.
This is a life simulation game? Not a town builder? I can do what I want. It’s bad enough some of my favourite aspects like hilarious villager dialogue and ridiculous chain errands are no longer in the game, and my favourite relaxing spot (the Roost) isn’t either, to the point where I’ve been playing wild world and population growing alongside it.
Why can’t my friends just respect this? Why does playing together mean giving a 5 star island tour. Why can’t we not fish, chill in the museum, trade furniture.
Obviously the creativity in this game is amazing, but I just feel like a lot of newcomers to the series feel like that’s the only way to play :/
