I'm super burnt out with terraforming.

I actually think terraforming is pretty fun and I think I'm pretty good at it. It's hard to get me into the mood to terraform but when I do it's nice. I've kept most of my island natural though except for my airport entrance and museum. Terraforming can be tough because what you see on your map versus what you actually see can be two very different things. I don't bother with how my map looks and just work with what I see because I find at the end of the day, that's how it will look best in my eyes.

I would say don't get too stuck on your plans that you made on those map maker sites and just try to get a feel for it in your eyes. Too bad you can't outsource the work or I wouldn't mind terraforming for you haha

Definitely take breaks in between sessions. I usually go hard with terraforming on fridays and Saturday’s. Weekdays are for chores and short burst gameplays. This way, I actually look forward to terraforming. I also focus on specific areas and if I get stuck, I move on without bulldozing everything, just leave it, nobody is going to judge you.

I'm actually not that much into terraforming either. But I did love the option of changing my river. What I did on my island is mostly tear down all natural hills so I have more room for decor, since I prefer flat land. While I do love visiting islands with lots of hills, I know I'll never do smth similar for my island.

I myself won’t be terraforming much. To be completely honest it burns me out. Plus, if you’re planning to do big sections, it’s always important to go in with a plan. Otherwise, if you don’t end up liking it...big waste of time and energy.

I generally only feel confident with building cliffs and paving paths. Waterscaping is definitely a lot more tricky for me, so I won’t be doing it much at all. Luckily, I think I chose a good enough map at the beginning and looking at it now, I feel as if it doesn’t need to be terraformed drastically.

Even though the terraforming aspect of the game is amazing and opens up a lot of possibility, I’ve always felt more reward with “working with what you’ve got” especially in Animal Crossing. That, and I’m just afraid I’d mess things up to the point where I’m like: “Yeah, time to reset.”

I have to take breaks, too... I usually get discouraged as well when I spend so much time doing something for it to turn out terrible 😔
It's fun at first but it just gets tiring! One of my joycons has drift on it which makes it 1000x more irritating, always spinning my character around to terraform the wrong thing :(

I also get SUPER irritated with measurements. After getting the measurements wrong for just 1 section of my island (which took me a couple hours to fix) I learned to measure the units with the pathways :') . It lets me measure out the length easier and keeps my storage empty in case I need to dig up more flowers, maybe this would be helpful to you? Items might get in the way when you terraform!

I think what I hate most about terraforming is having to move things around. And the fact that you can only move one house a day which is beyond tedious. I wish there was some way to just move buildings and whatnot in one go. Also.... the fact that a center never exists :') ???? It's either one unit towards the left or towards the right... like.. wHY.

I want moving around my island to be a fun experience and still be functional. So trying to take my time but I'm so tired of reworking things the I'm going to clean up the trees and flowers more before I start replanting.

I terraform a ton once every few weeks. I need time to walk around in my changes and see how I feel about it. I also sort of have an idea of what I want, but I don't plan it out, which means I don't get disappointed when something doesn't fit.

Recently, I've been trying to decide how to fil;l smaller empty areas without just covering them in flowers... It's a process, for sure.

This... I tend to alternate between feeling super inspired and feeling burnt out. When i feel burnt out, I take a step back from terraforming and just look at pics of ac inspiration I like until I feel inspired enough to try something in my town.

And I have the opposite problem, I have no idea what to do with my flowers or how to place them in attractive ways, so my town could use more flowers in the landscaping!

thats exactly why i havent touched my landscaping yet Dormire. i dont want to spend a ton of time *and bells* designing a town where im just going to have to re-distrubute the wealth, items, shops and villagers again.
and poor implementation yes indeed! my goodness. ive played all the animal crossing games since gamecube and this one is so child oriented its stunning. theyve taken out all the great things in past games and are just tossing everything they can think of at us. bunny day lasted what...11 days??? btw you can store your flowers on my island. theyll be safe there...nobody ever comes to my town lol

I'm burnt out as well I'm contemplating restarting my town because I don't really like my town layout and I really want too experience new villagers that I have never had before or I could just get another copy of the game instead but I'm not so sure yet.

I really don’t like terraforming that much. I don’t have the patience to do it, and especially I don’t have the patience to redo it multiple times when I mess up with the aiming. I’ve terraformed just the bare necessities, didn’t change much except for a couple of “hills” that were useless. I’d rather have it very similar to its natural form, also because I got lucky and I chose a very structured island with a good river and cliffs that didn’t really bothered me.
