Yes I know we need to trade for colour variations now and it’s annoying but, I really hated the regional events in previous games lol
There were sooo many mini events with cool items that differed, and Europe had pretty much 0 😂
ok in New Leaf we had like, a stocking and a berliner, ‘yay’. Out of which the berliner became super easily obtainable for everyone else through the welcome amiibo update, so, ‘double yay’. There went our only exclusive item xD

Trading for these was wayyy harder than the furniture variations because they were unorderable and valuable. I must have spent 150 TBT on a single item since I had nothing regional to trade equally

So yeah that’s one thing I really *don’t* miss

Definitely agree. I also suffered the EU event item drought in NL. I also became aware of online trading really late in to the games lifespan so I had nothing to offer since bells were essentially worthless or ridiculously inflated. To this day there are still so many event items I don't have in NL.

I remember being really fearful when the Children's day items were datamined for NH. I was so relieved when they revealed the items would be global. I still hoard the event items in NH out of old habit though. 😅

Living in North America, I was so so so soSOOOO jelly of the 7-11 items in New Leaf! I was never able to get my grubby hands on any of those items, but they were so cool. I guess I haven't thought much about how this game isn't region locked like the old ones. I am super glad it isn't this time around.

I agree. I hated that we didn't get the 7-11 items. Luckily, I was able to buy a set online. Paid a lot for it too.

A Berliner ? You play in German right ? 😁

In Spanish it was a twelve-grape plate and in other languages we received a tweeter

I do miss the "events" though. Even if it was just Isabelle standing around with a paper hat, it had way more personality. I loved how they brought that back for the fireworks boppers, but I wish they'd do it for all event items again. Would give Isabelle more purpose too.

How perceptive of you!!! :D Yes to clarify I named the Berliner an EU exclusive because everyone in Europe could get it by changing the language to German for the day (I play in English but that’s how I got it!) the tweeter wasn’t a furniture item and the twelve grape plate could be gotten by using the same trick to Spanish as an American player! So sadly the Berliner was our only exclusive furniture item along with the sock 😂

I remember how one of the older games (might have been wild world or new leaf) had something called explorers day? Or something like that? It was exclusively NA I believe and I was so jealous that I couldn't get any of those American events as I live in the UK and had a PAL copy

Oh yes the twelve-grape plate was on American version as well 🤔

But the Korean and Japanese versions didn't had those, neither the St Patrick's Day 😁

(This is a small consolation 😢)

Samee! I bugged my American friends on another forum to PLEASE log on for explorers day and give me the ship model XDDDD

Ikr, it's kinda sad lol

Oh right we had a veggie basket too, I found a list:
"Japan:
bamboo grass
beans
blue ogre mask
cucumber horse
dango
eggplant cow
good-luck roll
New Year's noodles
newsprint helmet
red ogre mask
rice cake

NA
cool globe
picnic basket
Resetti model
sailboat model
twelve-grape plate(also available in spanish versions of the game I think?)
wheat bundle

Korea
bell knickknack
bureom
hibiscus
songpyeon
yut

Now here comes Europe...
berliner(Germany ONLY)
holiday stocking
veggie basket

Shamrock hat is available in Europe and NA, but not in Japan and Korea I think."

But I don't particularly remember anyone wanting to trade me for the holiday stocking or veggie basket so pre welcome amiibo the berliner was really the only one worth anything lol

I believe the flamenco hat was a spotpass exclusive for Europe..? I had it in my original save but lost it after I restarted :(
But yeah glad we can all get the same stuff now!

I spent plenty more on the 7–Eleven set.

A forum member, who was ready to part with the items, and I reached agreement via personal message.

I have the set in the house belonging to secondary human Nick in my first “New Leaf” town Applewin. (Mayor there is Jill. The eight towns I made public are listed in my current signature; I am thinking of how I can revise it.)

Last december I opeed

Last December I opened my town here for those who wanted to pick the sock and I had a few visits ahah It was really nice to explain the meaning of this day to my visitors 😊

oh yeah i remember back in the old days when the berliner and afternoon-tea set were worth extreme amounts of bells. everyone wanted them too. and there were a lot of japan only events like the 7 11 items and stuff ahhhh
