im havin trouble with my desktop

kk im on my lappy at the moment and before i tryed goin onto my desktop but it wouldnt really load.it happened yesterday but it took us like 5mins to get it workin again and this morning its not really workin at all.plz help

its pretty hard to explain...kk it wouldnt go onto the log on menu it would just stay on a page that said energy and some other stuff
