Okay....Well just talk about why people don't use "whom" as much as "who".stormcommander said:The boards have to follow the rules still. Serious discussion is fine as long as it's not religion / heavy politics.

You're saying if it's not about politics or religion it's not "serious discussion"? Oh please...Propaganda Man said:Okay....Well just talk about why people don't use "whom" as much as "who".stormcommander said:The boards have to follow the rules still. He'd probably make it 100 bells per character.Justin125 said:Well, it's 1k to change the title/description, but I suppose we could cut that cost by making the title/description simply something that says it's a board that's topic changes all the time. Storm, would changing something small like 'The current topic is: xxx" count as free?
And then it's 800 bells to clear the thing, but if it's for a board that changes all the time it'd be better to just get them moved over to the videogames board.
It could work out.
How many were invited to that? Also, I'm willing to bet that there is a demand for serious discussion. Hell, I could link you to 5 threads about this.stormcommander said:You're saying if it's not about politics or religion it's not "serious discussion"? And honestly... we've had one of these boards in the past (official invite board). The problem is that there aren't enough members who would be able to discuss logically and maturely (which is why it's not around anymore, just slowly died out). That's what usually happens when a board is mostly teenagers anyway... I hate ageism, but it's true.

So you're saying since people want it, they are probably good enough to discuss it?
And the "economy" is almost as good as it's going to get with this current system. I'm sure there are things we can do to help it, but it's obviously not at the top of my to do list.

The inflation on this board is out of control. Take the bell system out if you need to and stop giving it away for posts. It's simple really. Bells should be scarce. NF did a great job of it.
How long ago was that?Bulerias said:Actually, it's true. We DID have a serious discussion board. Invited around 10 people there, I think... could have been a little less. It was pretty good at first, but then it slowly died out.
6? Geez. How many members are here?stormcommander said:There were 6 people in it I think.
Why would we invite people for the sake of inviting people? We only invited people who were mature for the most part and could at least discuss things logically. And this was... probably a year ago. We still didn't discuss religion in it though.Propaganda Man said:6? Geez. How many members are here?stormcommander said:There were 6 people in it I think.
6 though. Did you really expect to have something active with 6 people participating? Look at the Sage boards!stormcommander said:Why would we invite people for the sake of inviting people?
