I'm crying

Yeah, that's true. Next week I'm going to a school trip which will last four days, and I fear that Poppy will leave while I'm away. *goosebumps*

Either leave or be in boxes when I arrive home...

Maybe Nintendo will bring a 'going on vacaction' type thing into the game.

In this game as in acww and accf (don't know about the gamecube version as didn't play) we can freeze time.

I presume most players know this but well here goes: Make a note of when you last play, both date and time.

When you can play again change the clock back to a time AFTER you last played, load up and play as normal.

Eg the last time you play & save is 9am Monday 1st June, got exams, can't play till Tues 9th June - so on that day change the time back to say 11am Monday 1st June. No villagers will have left (as game thinks you have been away 2 hours), no consequences, apart from you are in the past. Turnips do not spoil, can download DLC and visit other towns as normal.

How do you change the time - well I change via the 3ds system before I load the game. (game time & 3ds time remain the same, but its awkward if you play other games that are time related - it could effect Pokemon, don't know details as I don't play.).

You could alternatively change time with Isabelle at the front screen.

This is not resetting, you are saving and loading the game as normal.

I have always taken the ability to do this as given by Nintendo - it saves them getting a huge amount of stick from parents/teachers etc that happened after the little Tamagotchi handhelds Bandai introduced in the 1980's. (edit apaprently 1990's, memory not that good, but I remember the hassle caused in lessons when these things beeped to be fed, too silly for words).

Maybe try buying stitches again. Perhaps it wouldn't bring back all the memories, but it might be better than nothing.

oh no! I'm sorry! If they come visit my town I will let you know!

They really should make it easy to back up saves so this way we can restore them! I don't get why the makers of animal crossing/Nintendo are so set on no backups for a game likes this :( I have stitches in my old copy of my game, I don't know if you're resetting or doing the cycling but I would always be more than happy to cycle him out for you!

That's sweet of you :O
I'm cycling whenever I can and so far I haven't gotten anyone to move out since I have a few dreamies in my town and they're the ones that always ping xD;

I'm also pretty nervous about TTing now because of stitches.

This exact situation happened to me unfortunately! I lost Cookie halfway through last month and lost Deirdre within the past week... :( Since I don't TT, I'm going to have to naturally cycle for them (being the fourth time I've had to do so), but they'll be back eventually.

I think this game is trying to play tricks on me, while at the exact same time being my stress outlet ^^;

Since it's the ones who are closest friends with us that seem to ping most often, this might take a bit of work, but perhaps paying extra attention to the ones you don't want might make it more likely that they'll ping to leave too...?

I'm sorry you lost your faves. It's super-terrible when that happens and can definitely steal a little joy from the game. :(

When you've finished cycling out and if you can't find him anywhere just PM me about it! He just sits in my town since I don't play on it anymore, and I wouldn't ever auction him or sell him just because I don't need tbt or anythingg. Sadly though, the more dreamies you have the more difficult it is. You'd need to atleast have 2 spaces to cycle through >.<

-hugs you-

I know the feel. I'm sorry. :C

I remember not playing New Leaf for a while during the summer and I ended losing 4 of my dreamies. I ended up resetting my town over it. xD

I know exactly how you feel... I lost my Pecan months ago and i stoped playing for a few days because i was so upset. But i realized its only a game and i happened to get 5 more of my dreamies to make me feel better about losing her, also, theres always cycling!

I'm really sorry to hear this. I believe that this has happened to almost everybody here on the Forums. I hope you'll be able to cycle these villagers back or maybe find two that are even better! c:

I'll take you up on that offer after I finish cycling :c
Luckily with Stitches moving out, it gives me 3 spots to cycle so cycling for stitches also helps with cycling for Zucker :(
