I'm confused (T&T Mart upgrade)

Okay so my T&T Mart is going to upgrade to the Super T&T tomorrow so it's going to be closed. I'm a little confused here. Doesn't it have to be 21 days since the last upgrade (last upgrade was the 19th) also I'm pretty sure I didn't buy 50,000 bells worth of items. Did the WA upgrade put less restrictions on shop upgrades or am I confusing this with the Super T&T to TIY upgrade?

You're just confusing the T&T upgrade with the TIY one.

T&T Mart -> Super T&T: 10 Days pass
Super T&T -> TIY: 21 Days pass
