Minecraft is responsible for a huge missing hole in my life! I barely remember what happened, just weeks of blocks being chipped away. My friends and I played on a tekkit server, I was so dead set on creating an automated mining system, it took me like a week to figure it out. Then every time I'd close my eyes, I'd see that forsaken pixelated pickaxe swinging away, dominating my dreams, creating nightmares! HOW I MISS IT! I'd love to play again, particularly Tekkit. But my technical prowess is far too weak to host a good server. If any one ever gets one rolling again, let me know! I would love to start mining and crafting again.

There are a ton of great Tekkit servers out there!

My brother loves minecraft, however I don't like it xD There's some cool mods and texture packs I've seen but it's not my cup of tea.

Is there a free-to-play demo (for PC) of Minecraft? Even when you click the "Demo" link they still ask for a purchase.

Is that so?? I must find them! I don't like super over populated ones that are overburdened with silly rules and obnoxious acting kids. I'm kind of picky when it comes to online gaming

Yeah, I didn't realize there was so much stuff in the game until well after I had spent hours saving up iron/copper/tin blocks. By the time I found the wiki and all the tech stuff, I was soaring! I'd love to re-experience that. My Minecraft skills are terrible though. Usually I'll play for like 3 days straight, then stop for months and months and randomly come back to it for about a half week or so.

"Mining" vs. "Caving".

Mines are the things you make by hitting your pickaxe against a rocky wall and tunneling through it while collecting ores. Caving is exploring an already-made-tunnel when loading the game, where several ores can be seen right away.

Is that correct?

I've only played the pocket edition, which is pretty addicting. Once I get a computer that can handle games the pc version is in the top 3 of my want list.

I like to flood creative mode with farm animals. And building islands in the sky, both in creative and survival. Also, mining. I'm currently working on a castle tower. I built a demo of it in creative mode. I just need to load up my new survival mode and get started on clearing out trees and dirt. And then stone mining. I need all the stone.

Does anyone know if there is a list somewhere listing what is in the full pocket edition (the payed one, not the lite one)?
