If you could bring a new species into the game, what would it be?

And it made me think about what species could be brought into ACNH to spice things up. I love the idea of more aquatic villagers, maybe sharks or seals?

When I read your title, I was immediately thinking of aquatic type villagers too. Imagine the fun of having to terraform an area of water to place their house on. I was thinking maybe sea otters or sea lions.

Honestly, I'd just like them to make regular villagers of the various "Special Character-Only" species. It's not like there aren't examples of a species having both villagers and special NPCs (e.g. cat villagers and Rover), so bring on the fox friends!

I've seen those bats before! Love them and would adore to have them in game.
I'd like a donkey villager, but he could be made from the horse ones. Otters could be a cool addition! Pangolins too.

omggg bats would be so cute ;_; i feel like they’re one of the most wanted species and they’re unique enough/there’s no bat npcs in the game that they’re the most likely to be added

id also like foxes! i know there’s redd which makes it less likely but we also have rover, porter, lots of dog npcs even if they look different from the dog villager model, etc. tanukis would be cute as well but since tom nook is basically the mascot of the game i understand why they wouldn’t make villagers. maybe raccoons? red pandas would be nice too, or possums

some sort of reptile like lizards would be cool as well, i actually thought flick was a villager at first when i saw the first released pic of him lmao
