If they re-released Melee with really good online play (not like Brawl; Brawl online is only good on friend matches) would you buy it? There are some aspects about Melee that are better than Brawl IMO. For one thing, I like the fast-paced fighting in Melee. Lately, I've been playing Melee and noticed that it plays much faster than Brawl. I think I would buy a re-release of Melee with online. Anyone else?

Well, of course they wouldn't, but sure...I might.

I really can't stand Brawl's online play. So much lag it's...sickening. Even with Friend vs Friend matches.

Probably, considering Brawl is not a good game at all.
Boo!

Why all the Brawl hate?
Brawl screwed over the Smash series.

The storyline sucked balls, the physics were *CEN-3.0-SORD*ed over immensely, they added in characters that didn't really deserve it, they tried SO hard to make it epic... but it just blew up their faces.

Just my opinion, mind you.

Agreed.

Are we referring to the fact that everything was slowed down and such?

they added in characters that didn't really deserve it

Eh, I just ignore them. Plus, most characters do fit in.

they tried SO hard to make it epic...

Luigi's taunts were epic. ;)

As for the Brawl-vs-Melee debate, Melee definetly held my attention better, (Right up until I got Brawl I played it at least two or three times a week, whereas I rarely play Brawl by myself) but I'd take Brawl over Melee.

The game physiscs of Melee were better than Brawl in my opinion, but Brawl is still a good game. In Brawl, it's just hard to get used to moving slower. I like the fast pace of Melee.

They did really try to make it "epic"...as far as the Subspace Emissary thing goes.

I was never too interested in SE, so I only played about 1 or 2 levels of it. Still have yet to play more. And since I already unlocked everyone by simply playing VS matches...I don't think I'm going to ever go back to the SE.

I dunno', though. I play Brawl when my brother or whoever wants to have a match, other than that, I don't play it too often.

But Melee I remember playing all the time for some reason. I had a hard time putting the thing down. Yeah...in my opinion, Melee > Brawl.

Yeah, same here. Sometimes I actually play just to keep my skills with Fox, Falco, Pikachu, Bowser, and C. Falcon in tune.

Hell, I think I actually tried making a few FAQs for characters... notably Mario and Roy, when I played as him.

I'd take out Sonic, Snake, Pit, Lucario, Pokemon Trainer, and either Dedede or Meta Knight.

I'd take out Sonic and Snake. Brawl's a Nintendo game. But keep the others.
