I've been thinking about this a lot lately. Would I lose my downloaded games, or would they be saved to the SD card? I can't imagine losing the $200 I've used on games, and I've been paranoid since earlier today when I broke my circle pad.

The games you've purchased are saved onto your nintendo network id and game data is saved on your sd card.

Basically what Mayor.Trip said. You can also back up your digital games' save data and download it later if something were to even happen to your SD card.
