goldie moved into an unfortunate spot in my town (right in the middle of a path) but i still want to keep her in my town. if she asks to move out could i get her back from another's town or by scanning an amiibo card so she moves into a different spot, or?

Yes. You have to cycle out 16 villagers before being able to move them back in.
If you have her amiibo, you can ignore this rule.

Yep, you can definitely move her in again after the 16 villager cycle and with her Amiibo card. It's really great with the Amiibo card, because then you can ignore the 16 villager cycle and get her back right away, so I would go with the Amiibo card option. :)

Yes, after 16 villagers. :) I don't really think I can get one of my villagers to move back in yet. :/

Yes, but the process is a huge pain. You have to cycle out 16 villagers first. The fastest way to do this is to make sure your town has the max amount of villagers living in it, which is 10, in order to increase the chances a villager will ping you to move out.

You can move in a max of 9 villagers normally and if you want a tenth villager, you can go to the Villager Trading Plaza section and see if there's any giveaways or you can just purchase a 10th villager from there. Another way to get a 10th villager is if you travel to other towns and get a voided villager.

Make sure to talk to each villager everyday, so they won't forget you're still alive. And if you want to make the process even faster, time travel in small increments.
