I know this town theme doesn't really exist since there are only 3 themes with their own PWPs(Fairy-tale, Zen, and Modern), but what PWPs would fit if I want to make a fancy medieval town?
I'm thinking statue fountain, water pump, metal bench, windmill, and maybe wisteria trellis.

Also, should I go with this idea or go for a modern town? If I go with this town theme, what should I name the town(since my currently planned name won't really fit my town theme)?

I personally think that Zen would be the best choice, though it's Asian and not European. Then again, the Fairy style would probably be better. Of course it's cute and not brooding. The only things I actually see working when it comes to public works are the:

Hammock
Bell (not Zen)
Metal Bench
Log Bench
Cobblestone Bridge
Suspension Bridge
Flower Clock
Fence (Kind of useless if you ask me)
Fountain
Water Well
Flower Arch
Archway Sculpture
Fire Pit
Flower Bed
Hot Spring
Rack of Rice
Sandbox
Scarecrow
Stature Fountain
Topiaries
Torch
Water Pump
Geyser
Stone Tablet
Stone Henge
Windmill

Klaus, Beardo & Lionel look like they'd fit the theme. You could have water motes & big wooden bridge path designs.

Here is some villager ideas:
Lionel: King
Beardo: Prince
Klaus: Knight
Sterling: Knight
Knox: Knight
Drago: Dragon
Julian: Unicorn
Cherry: Sorceress

To be honest, I don't really care about the villagers, because I will use my dreamies for the villagers.

I want the landscaping overall to look medieval.

You made my day with this post XD! And the water pump thing definatly, either cobblestone bridge or the wood suspension bridge,
Wisteria trellis, torches, zen clock.

And if you go with a medieval theme i'd personally look at places in medieval history to make it more accurate to the idea. Or go with anything that has a place medieval based.
Like: The Wedgwood Potteries. But go with Wedgwood. Hexham Road, Knavesmire

I think the medieval town sounds more unique and given the ability to change your character homes to castles I think it's very doable. A fence, log bench, might look good too. Lots of moats, armor clad villagers like sterling or knox, etcetc. For medieval style bridges I think a suspended bridge, red-brick bridge or cobblestone bridge would fit that theme best. Zen and fairy tale are easier to work with, though, as there is literally a town hall and train station renovation for each of them.

Good luck. :]

You could mail your villagers thrones so that they display them in their houses!!! I think you should try and include lots of greenery and try to make it look as natural as possible. (But you still need to get the medieval themed across somehow, so that people don't assume it's just a natural town) I only say make it look natural because it's before most of the pollution got worse.
Sorry I don't have many more ideas, but I love your idea and the uniqueness in it ~ I'd like to visit when it's complete.
