Ideas for secondary character houses?

Yess I have a hotel and a diner/bar

I’ve made 2 other characters!
The second character’s house I turned into a hotel (or planning to anyway), at the moment the rooms are the reception area, a cafe, a hotel room on the second floor, and a pirate ship exhibit is located at the basement.
The third character’s house isn’t fully upgraded yet and only has one room. I’m not sure what I want to do with it yet.

I have five profiles xD Four are 'real' characters that have their own themed houses, but the fifth I made specifically so I can have a tourist office (I got the idea from villager posters with island backgrounds tbh) with a gift shop in one of the side rooms and a small cafe in the other. The basement was going to be a record shop, but I might move that to the second floor and turn the basement into a train station. Who said we can only have planes?

That kind of depends on what theme you are going for in your town, I suppose. For something urban, some publicly accessibly buildings like hotels or a police/fire station could be fun, or maybe something you'd visit for entertainment (theatres, bowling alleys, swimming pools, that sort of stuff). For something more rural, I'd be thinking lodges, farms, observatories, visitor centers and small outposts.

I think the best thing to do is trying to make your theme as specific as possible - try to fit it all into a loose backstory, that way you'll likely be the happiest with the buildings you have around

I'm turning my 2nd character's house into a cafe! I might make the basement like a storage room with a refrigerator and all and the back room the kitchen! I'll put some tables and chairs outside and some seating areas in the 2 side rooms with a bar and wall-mounted tv.

I have 2 extra characters. One runs an inn with a restaurant on the main floor. The other runs the police department. He just got the extra room in the back. Right now, the main room is decorated with a waiting room, front desk, and lost and found tables. I even found the old wanted poster from the police department in population growing to go in the main room. If we ever get copper and/or booker back, I'll probable delete the house and put their police department in its place.

I have three characters with pretty simple houses that fit their personalities. They just give me extra houses to decorate AND extra characters to collect DIYs and stuff.

Only the fourth house was mainly for a building I "needed"-

A haunted house!
My island would NOT have been complete without one ​

I am currently in the process of upgrading a second house to make a sort of horror themed house. It does take a bit of time though because there are certain parts of the storyline you have to go through and then actually get the money to upgrade
