Ideas for a valleythemed town?

I need ideas for a valley/mountain themed town! what people have been telling me to do is add a ton of cedar trees, but thats fits a forest theme more. i was thinking of just cutting down a ton of trees and spreading a few out, since most valleys have little trees. i have no idea what to add other than that. if you have any ideas, tell!

Clever idea! I have all of those except an eagle and wolf!

I'd say Shep would be the perfect dog villager to have, since he's a sheep dog.

i actually have him! he reminds me more of a tropical theme though. his house is very surfy..

maybe you can put the cedar trees mostly to the south of your town and have them dissipate as you go north, as if you were going up a mountain? u know, like how vegetation changes as you climb? i may be mistaken, though!! i think cedar trees look great w/ all white flowers, except pansies, so i think they would look great, especially when combined with yellow flowers. also, maybe patterns with tiny flowers in those colours (and whatever other colours you like, of course!) and clovers c:

Fauna seems like a good candidate for this. A deer can never hurt, especially one that looks like a deer

I like the idea of having a dense forest that slowly becomes sparse near the top of your town, as well maybe open areas near the river, and a campsite would be cool too.

Googled valley animals, found deer, rabbits, squirrels, mice, wolves, bears, and eagles.
And then a mix of white, yellow and purple flowered plants too.

thanks for the ideas everyone! i think im going to use mostly white and yellow flowers and will try to look for deers and eagles, since i have everything BUT them. for PWPS, im surprised nobody suggested the windmill public works project haha. thanks!

Okay so for PWPs, I'd try
a campsite, the classic police station, maybe some outdoor chairs or a hammock to relax and enjoy the view?
Also the log bench would look great, sometimes I put a cedar stump near by just to add more seating around it.
For bridges, either the cobblestone or suspension would look good I think.
I'm not sure if valleys have geysers but I'd add to the nature feel.
The windmill is my favourite too, and I love them by the river, not sure about you though.
Maybe even adding a totem pole or a stonehedge would be neat too.
