I recently made another character to make a bakery in my town. Problem is, I'm having some trouble getting inspired. I have plaza tile on the floor, which I like, but am having trouble with the wall. I'm also considering adding an ice cream parlor and maybe a library/cafe. Any suggestions?

I have made a restaurant for my town ^_^
Feel free to visit, maybe it can help you get some ideas for your bakery :)

Maybe some of the 7/11 set :o like the steamed bun case ~ you could also include some of the cakes like the wedding cake and the chocolate cake too <3 such a good idea by the way!

you can make it like a homey style bakery, just a simple bakery but with comfy spots to sit and lots of plants! i find that a theme can be very strong if you keep it central, if you know what i mean? adding too much other themes might get confusing or too crowded.

I have a bakery in my main house :) You can visit my town via dream address (in signature) ^^

One of my secondary characters in my town lives in a bakery sort of shop.
The main room is the bakery area.
The right room is more a sit down tea room.
The left room is a chocolate room.
The backroom is a kitchen area.
The upstairs is a sort of bookstore cafe.

Code is in my signature if you'd like to check.
Characters name is Ryden. ^_^

The sweets furniture would probably be smart for the library/cafe since there's the sweets bookshelfs you could get...and the flan tables would look really nice for cafe tables.

There's all sorts of furniture...chocolate fountain (customizable to white chocolate), Candy Jar, Halloween Candy, Dessert Case, Chocolate Cake, Pumpkin Pie, Afternoon Tea Set, Berliner, Dango, Chocolate Hearts, the fruit furniture items, fruit basket, shaved ice lamp, steamed bun case, veggie basket, bread holder (probably not the correct term for that), coffee cups (need a ton), cream and sugar (need a ton), other brewster kitchen items, artwork would look nice in the cafe or you could find cute QR codes to use,...there's a qr code for a cafe menu on the web somewhere if you google it...
you could have one room be outdoor dining? Have a cute outdoors type flooring like the wildflower floor. Then you can place some cute tables like the little lovely ones or something similar in size?
