I've seen a ton of people and tons with ice cream and I even got some by trading but how are people getting ice cream in the game? Is there a shop I don't know about???

I love getting ice creams! Idk why but virtual food makes me happy. But yeah it depends on how many times you pass a person on Street Pass I think?

Ice-cream is obtained from Streetpass. You know how when you Streetpass someone, their character will be waiting for you? They'll either be holding a balloon (regular, heart, or bunny), a pinwheel, a bubble wand or a tweeter, or an ice-cream.

When you go to the streetpass area in your game where Digby is the newest people who have added their homes to the plaza will usually be holding items. If you talk to them they give you the item too! Icecream is included in that but there's many other items you can obtain as well.
