I woke up to a rare purple sunrise today!

I?ve been waiting ages to catch a rare sunrise or sunset and in the many years of playing this game this is my first!

I am a little annoyed it wasn?t in my other town which I do want to permanently set to a purple sunrise for my eventual dream address. But oh well~

Have you guys experienced any of the rare purple sunrises/orange sunsets yourself?
I feel like they aren?t so rare for some people, but also I do tend to miss sunrise&sunset in general as I don?t play during those times normally.

I have caught the rare orange sunset a couple of times, but I usually play around sunset so it makes sense that I'd have a pretty good opportunity to see it. What I'd really love to see in my town is the purple sunrise, but since I never play in the mornings and I don't time travel I guess that's never going to happen. I wish we could get a purple sunset, too.

I think there’s a version of the sunset that’s like a purple to orange gradient. It’s super beautiful! So maybe that’ll be your next one~

I actually don’t play mornings either. It was pure luck with this one! I had been tting yesterday and fell asleep with it set to a weird time. So today even though I slept in late my game happened to be set to around 6:40am and I saw the rare sunrise on my load screen!
I basically just woke up, screamed, then immediately updated my DA lol

I've seen only one purple sunrise in the game but several orange and purply-orange sunsets.I usually play in the early/late afternoon so that's probably why.My lone purple sunrise occurred in late March and I've seen most of the orange sunsets in the summer but other players have said that they've had them at different times of the year.

I've seen a few orange sunsets and possibly one purple sunrise in all my time of playing New Leaf. I used to go to bed at 7pm and wake up at 6am, but I don't do that anymore. That's how I got lucky to see the morning one. It was beautiful.

Never saw the purple sunrise because I don't play around that time, but it really looks beautiful. I had a
few times the orange sunsets and love it, it's like the town gets kinda a mysterious but at the same time
cosy atmosphere thanks to it.

I’ve never come across it through natural gameplay but I did grind through dates once to find one for my dream address. It was definitely a beautiful sight! Especially with the quirky morning music.

I have experienced a couple orange sunsets. They're always a beautiful sight to behold. I may eventually save my dream town during an orange sunset and just leave it that way forever.

I've never seen a purple sunrise and most likely never will. I'm simply not awake early enough for that to be much of a possibility.

I've seen both a couple times, they're gorgeous! it's little things like waking up to a pretty sunrise that I'm excited for in the next game.
