I wish you could use Golden Tools on the Island

I would love it so that if you unlocked the Golden Net or the Golden Rod then your tools on the island would be upgraded. Obviously they wouldn't be able to be brought back home to prevent duplication, but it'd be nice since I spend most of my time fishing and bug hunting on the island, and not in my main town.

For the record, silver tools should work too.

I got a heart stump pattern on my island using their regular axe.

I went island hopping to do just that. Now I have several silver axes in the drop-off box which I used to create a nice little oasis in the center of my personal island with stump patterns, flowers, and bush starts.

Yeah, you can already use Silver Axes, but I was hoping more for the Net/Rod.

There are some things you can get away with though, like wearing a flower in your hair or a rose in your mouth. I brought over a few blue roses that way. It was time consuming, yes, but I didn't have to cheat to bring them over.

The net is longer so you have a better chance/greater distance of catching rare bugs without scaring them off

The rod gets you a better chance of catching rare fish.

I think. Don't quote me on that.

But alas, I too miss not having my golden tools on the island.

Like the golden watering can to breed flowers - especially blue roses because animals plant red roses in your hybrid red roses lol

well, the golden net & shovel don’t have much of a difference from the normal ones anyway. just little benefits.

i have all of the golden tools in my island box, but i always end up using the rentals. i only really keep them there if i end up giving them to someone else or need them.

I had a hacker give me all the golden tools on CT once. I did use them on the island once, but it made catching everything kind of boring. I just keep them in my box. I prefer the rentals anyway.
