I Wish We Could Visit Our Own Dream Address

I'd love to be able to go back and wander around an earlier version of my island.

Now that autumn is in full swing, it would be really cool to be able to enjoy a summer evening on my island before the pumpkin update and all the new mushroom and maple leaf furniture.

If you've done some serious landscaping etc. since your upload, it might be even more fun to journey back for comparison's sake.

Am I alone in this?

And is there any reason why we can't go and check out our own Dream Address once it's uploaded?

What part of being able to visit a previous version of your island doesn't make much sense?

I wish that too. I actually can visit my dream address because have 2 switches and 2 copies of the game, so I can visit my other island's dream. Most people won't have that option though, so it would be nice if everyone could visit their own dream if they wanted.

That would be nice. But since it's our very own island anyway, I think Nintendo thought it wasn't necessary.

I think it would be fun to experience our own islands the same way guests do (not having to worry about accidentally destroying a path or picking something up etc) but I can understand why it wasn't included as a feature since we live and work on our islands basically daily. I do wish we could save multiple DAs tho people could keep/revisit themed islands they do for holidays and things

You aren't alone! I always wish we can visit our own islands in dreams, mainly because I like to check things in my dream version to see if everything is to my liking (which is what I used to do in New Leaf with my second town). I've completely redone a big chunk of my island since my last update, so it would be nice to go back and see my older version. I also wish we can save multiple versions of our DA, maybe up to 5 or something, so we have seasonal versions to archive as well Maybe that's asking for too much though, lol.

I used to visit my other town's dream address in New Leaf all the time. Just to see how it appears from the perspective of someone visiting via dream. It often led to me making little changes too.

I can't do this in New Horizons though as I only have one Switch and I was super ambitious on my island theme and having 5 characters that I really wouldn't have the time for a second island anyways.

Man, that would be so much fun to cause self destruction on our own towns and not have to deal with the consequences because it's a dream.
