I was told (and believed) that the villager who sends you a Valentine's Day gift is your BFF. Mine was Erik. So I believed that the BFF is also the one who hosts your birthday party. I'm playing a month ahead of time in my town, so it's mid-April in Mayberry. Today is "my birthday" in-game. I came out of my house, expecting to see Erik. But Phoebe was there! I figured he'd be at the party then, but he wasn't. Marina and Boone were there instead. My mailbox was stuffed full of regular letters, except for special birthday messages from Marina and Mira. WTF, Erik?! I guess we're not as tight as I was led to believe.

Odd! Henry is my supposed BFF in game, he was the first to give me his picture and he was the one to host my birthday party that Chief and Beau attended. But on Valentine's day, I got a box of chocolates from Beau. So I don't know if there's an exact science to how it works.

That's surprising since Julian sent me a chocolate heart and on my birthday I went to his house and got some birthday furniture. Maybe in the month you were ahead you raised your friendship higher with those three that it exceeds Erik's, but who knows. Maybe he didn't want to come.

My birthday party was today and Tangy was the hostess....the very same Tangy that still hasn't given me her pic since she's been in my town....... almost a year and a half.So I guess I should be expecting a pic from that orange kitty sometime soon.

Player 3 received a Valentine from Iggly. Tutu greeted her for her birthday. It was an all Teddy bear party.

You can get greet at the door by different villagers if you reset after you celebrate. Last year I got a repeat so I reset my 2nd player. She was greeted by another villager and celebrated with different villagers. Repeat until you celebrate with all your villagers.
She has high friendship levels with all the villagers. The first villager to greet her was Sydney. At the time the mayor sent her the most mail.
