Anyone else felt confliction like this? My town is nice. I've got quite far, a few PWPs, perfect town. My villagers are horrific (Except Lionel, love you<3) and it's just boring. I want to reset. But I don't, not after all the work I've put in!

I promised myself I would never reset this time, but I know eventually I will. I know it will happen. Does anyone else know how I feel? I feel bad that I'd abandon my town within only a month's play..

I get what you mean, but what drives me is wanting to make a really nice dream town for people to visit. That way it'll motivate me to continue and not reset. Maybe you just need to find new goals for yourself and your town. owo

Why preserve the work you've done so far if you think the outcome is boring?

I'd advise not resetting unless you're absolutely certain it's what you want to do. Once your progress is deleted it's gone forever.

Yeah I'm not certain yet. I feel terrible after playing the game so long and getting bored so easily. I don't know if I could wait and unlock everything again or if I can carry on with this town that doesn't have a theme, a purpose.

hmm, things can always be changed (except for map and well, the major)
villagers move in and out, pwps can be built and removed, themes can be changed. Maybe make a new villager and make their house into something cool? or lay down paths? or just take a break from it?

I think if I reset to get a better map, I would still never be satisfied because I know it could always get better..

I restarted mine recently, but I hadn't put that much work into it... I just wanted to restart for a better map & face (I hadn't realized that the questions at the beginning determined your face). The thing that put me off from restarting initially was saying goodbye to Coco and Purrl. I ultimately decided though that I was better off restarting so that I could be happy with the town itself and the way my character looked. I mean, as much as I liked those two, it wasn't enough to overcome my constant annoyance with running around my town or looking at my character once I realized that there was an eye shape that I liked SO much more.

Speaking of which, you don't like Purrl?! omg, I love her! Her expressions are great, haha. Anyway, as for restarting or not, I think that if you know in your gut it's something you're going to do eventually, it's better to do it sooner rather than later. That way you don't waste more time on a town you don't like.

What I did was buy another copy....obviously not everyone can do that but I'm SO happy I did. I reset until I got the map I wanted, picked the town name I loved, and then yesterday I was time traveling a villager out for somebody and 2 villagers moved in......Julian and Deirdre! And someone on the villager giveaway thread gave me Cherry, who was another dreamie of mine....so now I have the perfect town! The only hard part is starting from scratch when I have almost everything unlock on my main town, qr scanner, etc......But I just go to friend's towns to buy stuff for now :)

I would never reset my main town though, I know I would regret it which is why I bought another copy :)

No I've never felt like resetting. I don't know what that feels like, but if you aren't having fun, then... well, go for it. It's a game. It's made to have fun.
