basically what the title says but i wanna improve my art and i think learning anatomy is a GREAT start for that. the only problem is.... i dont know where to start. any advice on this is greatly appreciated!!!! i would like some video recommendations as well

I don't have much advice because I was way too lazy/easily distracted to learn anatomy (though it's a great idea and I really should try to learn!), but it might be helpful to pick up an anatomy textbook or something from the bookstore/library and recreate some of those technical illustrations in your sketchbook. And of course there's probably tons of great videos on youtube, udemy, skillshare, etc.

It's also always beneficial to draw from life. Look into gesture drawing if you don't know about it already, it's a great way to warm up when drawing the human figure!

I don't really think I'm one who should be posting in here as there are way more talented artists on here. Many of them are on hiatuses right now so hopefully others will come in.

I can't say I'm amazing, but sometimes it helps to break down items into shapes. Everything has basic shapes. And go from there. If you look at books about help with art they often show just that. Maybe try with something small and not complicated and then go from there and try something more complex with each time. Not necessarily drawing it, but seeing if you can break it down to its basic shapes. Like an apple, hand, face, cat/dog ect.
