Hi all,

I've been experimenting with the Dream Suite more lately and I've seen a lot of dream review threads, so I've decided to do one of my own. If you'd like me to review your town, just leave your DA and I'll check it out and review it as soon as I can. Just so you know, unless you have more than one town or your town is fairly barren, I tend to write quite lengthy reviews.

You're more than welcome to come and visit Qvaria. My DA is in my signature. It is, however a working progress, but I would love to know what you think of it.

I will be honest when I review your town, so I hope I don't offend anyone. I will take pictures of my favourite part of each town I visit and then I'll put all of them into a random draw and I'll figure out a cool prize for the winner.

Yep, I think that's everything.

Thanks for reading,

I think I dreamt of JOY last time, so I'll head over to Farmland this time. I was impressed majorly by your first town. I can't wait to see what you've done with the other one.

By the way, I don't think I've updated my dream in a while.

Town of Qvaria.
You have a pretty path.I love the area next to retail, with the heart and benches. The area around Lia's house looks great.I'm in her house right now, and I remember dreaming your town recently. It's very nicely decorated.I know I said this before, but the room on the right is gorgeous.Great town.

You can visit my town. It's in my sig. I haven't updated in a while, but you are welcome to visit. :)

~Dreaming of Farmtown~
The path around your plaza was really earthy and nice, but there was a bit missing where I assume Redd has been. Not a big issue, just something to note. Your flowers around it were really nice. The colours that you had chosen worked nicely together. The placing of the path lakes looked really great with the paths, but I think I walked into them several times. I'm so glad Animal Crossing isn't real sometimes. Would you consider edging that somehow to make it easier to stay out of the water? That's just me being picky.

Your little farm in the northern corner was really cute. I now see why you called your town Farmland. The row of apple trees in that area is also nice. It feels neat and organised while still looking organic. The narrow paths were hard to keep to at times but OMG, that fence with the chickens in it was adorable! It feels a bit 2 dimensional (obviously because it is), but that can't be helped.

It was sometimes difficult to follow the path exactly. I would occasionally just walk off it, cruse around for a little while and then find my way back onto it again.

Ms. Mary's house: First of all, I loved how you matched that dress to the elegant hat. That was cute, and the house itself seemed to match her attire, which was also charming. The flower shop in the main room was a good idea, but I felt like it was maybe a bit empty. I know that with a shop you always want plenty of room to walk around, but there scarcely is. Would you consider pushing the fan, corner checkout and sofa forwards one space and putting a few items behind them facing the other way maybe? That was just a suggestion. I liked the room, but the floor felt jarring and disconnected from the rest of the room. It felt too harsh against the more natural feel of the room.

The teddy-bear picnic thing you had going on out the back was actually a really good idea. I did feel a bit sorry for the slave-bee that was in the cage near the honey stand, but everything was well thought out, and there was a hint of humour in the room, which was good. Again, the middle of the room felt a little bare, but putting anything there would feel unnecessariy and make the room feel crowded, so it's not a bad thing in this case.

The refurbished alpine furniture upstairs looked great altogether. I'm not usually a fan of mismatched carpets and wallpapers, but in this case it actually worked really well, and I love that you used Ms. Mary's clothing design on all the furniture. That room felt full without being crowded. It just seemed like a cottage home, which is what it looked like from the outside. That continuity from outside to in was really good.

The town flag was great; the level of detail in it was astounding, and it fit the town perfectly.

Aw, MacDonald is so cute, and the cabbages around his house! Classic. The main room of his house had this great, warming feel of a cabin in the snow, although it's not exactly what I would associate with a farmer. The cow hide and cow print used to furnish seems to suggest a hunter more than a farmer to me, but that's just my opinion.

All those zodiac chickens! My gosh! There were heaps! That room was great. I thought it suited the character really well. The room out back with the pigs was cute. I thought you carried the farmer theme through the house really well. The kitchen had that warm togetherness that you want a kitchen to have, but all that pink! Poor MacDonald... The cabin room upstairs was cute. So many chickens...

Bo Peep's house with all the clothes in it felt pretty authentic. I liked the pictures of the sheep. A bit of comedy never hurt anyone. The room out back was simple but really cute. I liked how you had all the sewing stuff upstairs, the loom and the spindle and whatnot. It helped to carry through the theme of the house, although I am beginning to wonder where this poor girl sleeps. Would you consider putting a small bed in there, maybe just with a bedside table or something? Or even put the bedroom in a separate room. I don't know. I just feel like there needs to be a bedroom somewhere. The house was very cute, though.

Muffin Man ~ Ooooh, that house! He mustn't feel very masculine. Inside the house, again it felt a little bit girly, but the layout was very good. There was enough space to walk around, but the rooms didn't feel empty, which was good.

Overall, I felt your town flowed really well. Like what you've done with JOY, you have a clear idea of who all your characters are supposed to be, and you've represented that in their houses, too, which is great to see. You seem to have a skill with matching up different types of furniture and making them work in a room, which is rare to see. I loved a lot of parts in your town, but my favourite was the drinking fountain. I'll upload the picture to my first post.

Thank you for letting me dream of your town ~

That green path... you should know that I'm not a fan of Minecraft thank you to a few certain friends of mine who talked about it religiously. The area around the topiary was nice, but just a question; instead of having red, 2D roses placed all through your town, why don't you just use actual roses?

The area around the hot spring feels really nice, especially with the bamboo, although I'm not sure I'd want Resetti so nearby. (That was a joke, by the way.) The wisteria trellis is so nice, but you can't really see it because it's entirely screened off. Also, there's no path running through it, so it feels really inaccessible.

Rishika's house: I'm guessing that's not finished? The fairy-tale clock feels like it's just been shoved in a corner. When I think of a clock, I think of a more central area. Could you maybe move it into the middle of your town more so that it doesn't feel so ignored?

Vrinda's house: My God, that massive creeper... I wish there was an abyss I could just sink into... Oh wait! I think I spied one earlier! (It looked amazing, by the way.) Walking into your main room, it felt fairly generic. You had all the alpine stuff in there with a few other things to give it some interest. I thought it was Minecraft free, to be honest, and then... I saw the LED display and the corkboard.
Those four gyroids in the room on the left, whoa, they were cool. It did seem like all your furniture was pushed to the edges of the room, though. Pulling a table and two lounges or something like that into the middle of the room makes such a difference. Just as a suggestion, play around with some different series/ pieces of furniture to see what works and how you can maximise that space. The bathroom with the mermaid series in it looked great, except you couldn't even get into the room because there were Jacob's Ladders in the way. Also, you should consider putting a light source in there. I love the sweets series, but just from room to room, it doesn't feel like the house flows. You have full sets (basically) in each room, with a few other things thrown in, but you don't want every room to seem like a bedroom. While it does score higher with the HHA, it just makes the house feel too generic. There are so many different ideas for rooms, especially when you're carrying the Minecraft theme through your town. It feels very pronounced in some areas, and not at all in others.

Overall, I thought the Minecraft thing was fairly consistent, although it lacked presence in Vrinda's house and in some areas of town. My favourite part was the void with the custom-design sign of the creeper. That looked great. I'll upload a picture to my initial post of it later.

I would love for you to visit my dream town. I know there are a few place that are a bit empty, flowers only, but am waiting for the last of the Zen PWPs.

Thank you in advance, and I will take a look at your town too. ^^

D.A. in sig. TIA!

I'd love a review! I'm planning to update in a few hours though. I've decided to demolish a handful of pwp and rebuild others.

~Dreaming of Azalia (beautiful town name, by the way)~
That path! Stunning. I liked how it went through the whole town, but at times I did find it a bit hard to follow, or I would end up walking in the litter rivers and whatnot. There are some times I am so glad that Animal Crossing is just a game. The area around the hot spring was really nice. I like how you've put flowers and bushes around your PWPs. It makes them feel really special. I think I had a bit too much fun with the sheep cutout near Flora's house.

Flora's house: Your rococo room was really nice. It felt spacious but not empty, which is always great to see. Probably my only criticisms are that; 1) you don't really get a sense of what the room is actually supposed to be (but it's a video game. Functionality isn't an essential) and 2) (this is really picky of me, I know) your afternoon set and coffee cup would look better on a table. The rococo table would fit really easily in there and then that would take them both off the ground. The art on the walls made it feel very sophisticated, and I got the feeling of an old fashioned library or sitting room. Little additions of the bed and the ironing set just made that seem less believable, but like I said, that doesn't really matter if you want the full set altogether.
That retro cafe was so well put together. It reminded me of the old AMF Bowling alley that used to be in Penrith where I live. Then they re-vamped it and it doesn't look like that anymore, but the little details you've put in, the music and the mannequin and whatnot gives the room a really genuine feel.
That room out the back felt so high-end and expensive. The white piano looked a little odd among all that red and gold. I know the white looks better normally, but maybe having it done in black would make it feel less jarring? Just an idea. I haven't got a clue what it's supposed to be. There's a bed in there, a few lounges, chairless tables, a throne and whatnot, but it looks really cool altogether.
The ice/ snow theme you had going on in the right room was pretty cool (pun intended), but you couldn't get into the back half of the room because there was a bobsled in the way. No objections to the Pave room upstairs. It is a good series, although I think that there's a lot of stuff on the ground that could be on tables or something. Also, there's a problem with this room that was downstairs in the rococo room. You have a sofa and two armchairs, but can't sit in any of them because there's stuff in the way.
That bathroom downstairs... I've actually seen one exactly like it, although I can't remember where. I know because I took a photo of it to use as an idea for my own house. It looked really good. There's not much to say about it. It was functional, there was plenty of room to move around, all the baths and showers were screened off. Yeah. It was a good room.

There were some really great PWP's on the way to Mira's house. I love how you put flowers all around them. It makes them feel so organised and part of the town. You know how sometimes you go to a town and PWPs have just been thoughtlessly plonked everywhere? It's great to see someone who's thought about it.

Mira's house: That first room felt really organic and nature-themed. I liked how you'd left a clear path where the stepping stones are in the flooring. I thought that looked really great. That kids' room to the left was cute. There's not really a lot to say about it. I'm glad you had a few things lying around. It is a playroom after all. The back room was sort of boring, but I guess it was small, and it's hard to make a small room look good. It's just that everything was so mismatched and random. The room on the right was great. There was such a clear sense of what you were trying to achieve. Upstairs, again, just feels sort of random. Overall, I can see that the house is a WIP, but the rooms that are finished look great.

Lisanna's house: That main room looks great. It looks exactly like a plaza. (The hint came when I realised you'd used both the plaza wallpaper and flooring and then the room made sense.) The arrow pointing to the 7/11 sign was awesome. The room to the left; no idea what that was. Maybe a public bathroom would have worked better in that space? For the back room, I'm kind of getting something, but there is so little furniture in there that it's kind of hard to tell. The 7/11 room to the left was maybe a bit small, and I didn't like that you had to roll over the bed to access the rest of the room. Do you have anymore of the 7/11 series? The room just feels unfinished.

Latte's house: Well, there's kind of the start of something... I'm guessing that house isn't finished yet.

Overall, I can see some greatness in the town. It's obvious that you've planned your town, and that a lot of thought has gone into it. There are some parts of it (mainly the houses) that aren't finished, though. A small problem in an otherwise beautiful town. My favourite area was the two trees with the stump and the bushes near Flora's house. I'll upload a picture soon.
