Self-explanatory title. I've read the wiki, etc, and I'm assuming it works like all other plants but I want to be sure. So my questions:

1) If I just dump trash all over my beaches (I'm talking about filling them up almost completely) will that alone generate a rafflesia even if the rest of my town has tons of trees, flowers, no weeds, etc?

2) Can rafflesias spawn over paths? I'm assuming not

According to Animal Crossing Wiki, they spawn when you don't have a lot of PWPs or trees, so if that is the case, weeds and trash are futile to your cause.

Cut down your trees, and get rid of your flowers.

Leave garbage and weeds everywhere.
Don't have any positive PWP's.

Then wait.

Uhh not to be rude or anything, but any reason why you want a Rafflesia in your town by any chance? :o

Anyway, I would recommend leaving a bunch of garbage laying around, cut all your trees, and destroying all flowers to increase the chance of one spawning.

Several reasons XD 1) It's a fascinating plant and one of my favorites irl (2) It's rare: how many towns have you visited with rafflesia that aren't trash towns? (3) It would add variety to the garden area I'm developing. I would like to showcase the rafflesia in a town where you wouldn't expect it.

Cutting down all my trees seems counter-productive to what I want to do. I've read many players claim that rafflesia will indeed spawn even with trees, flowers, no weeds but you have to have tons of items on the ground (like perhaps over 100). I was hoping someone could confirm that. It would be cool to have but I'm not erasing 50hrs+ of landscaping for 1 flower lol

I'm thinking it's just not possible to keep it alive in a pretty town, though :(

Then, you probably won't get your rafflesia.

You could leave 100 things on the ground, and test what you've read.

Thank you, that does seem to be the case. It's simply about PWP and trees.

You're right, I probably won't :( As in, I definitely won't because I'd need less than 3 PWPs. Apparently it works very different in NL and isn't about cleanliness at all. I just got confused because I kept seeing reports of people with clean towns and rafflesia, but it's because the town is underdeveloped, not dirty.

My spare town has one, I have no PW only few tree's still have a tent, I use it just for a spare.

oh no, your town has to be a hell of a dump to get a rafflesia.

hackers can put them in their towns without having to destroy it, though.

I get rafflesia rly easy and at this moment I have one in my town.
I’m thinking its due to the lack of trees and items everywhere on the floor counting to (20+)

I have one in my town despite it being fairly new.

I have no trees, some items on the ground, and a good amount of weeds.

I don't really mind it that much, but the flies can get annoying.
