Alright, so first off- yeah, I'm a bit of a musician for those of you who didn't know. I play guitar. Anyway, a week ago, there was this contest for a newspaper by a city I live near. It was one of those 'Write a song' competitions. I sent this in, and it won. I found out this morning. It's a short song, sung with an upbeat chorus. (It's an upbeat song overall.) There's a short instrumental part in the middle of the first and second verses. Tell me what you think.

Three Hearts Down on Main Street
by Fabio Biancarelli

VERSE I:
We had some good times
Yeah and we had some bad
Writing love notes down on a notepad
Seemed our lives were on auto-pilot
But then it all flew by in a minute

You threw it all away
I walked out your doorway
But honey you came running back
And I pushed you away
You were beggin' to stay
But I ended it anyway

CHORUS 1X

VERSE II:
And now that it's all over
You're willing to barter
But my love aint' cheap
There's a price you must pay
Last time I gave you leeway
But this time around
You aren't that lucky

You can try to chat me up
You'll wish you could cleanup
The mess you left but that's why it's nice
This mess has become a vice
I won't fall for your tricks twice

CHORUS 2X

CHORUS:
Even if we could
Oh I never thought we would
Let's just break it off here
Now lemme be clear
This is where it ends
This is where it stops
I'd had enough of your game
You've only got yourself to blame

Really nice, but of coarse I can't say I love it until I hear a instrumental and sung version. But anyways the lyrics are really nice.

Ptsh. Guitar? Flugelhorn is a true instrument.

Kidding, good lyrics. I do want to hear a recorded version, of course.
