I used to hate jocks, but now I'm loving them..

So I started with jocks like Kid Cat, Genji, Rudy, etc. and while I liked them...I didn't really love the jock personality. It was my 7th favorite above uchi. But now that I've had Poncho and currently have Roald, I'm loving the jocks. They're actually kind of awkward. Roald also talks about his muscles which is funny since he's a tubby penguin. I love him though because he has wide eyes like Aurora and is the only other penguin besides her that I'd want. Have you ever had a personality type you didn't like, but warmed up to?

Like you, I really wasn't a fan of the Uchi personality when I had Cherry in my town. Now I have Mira, (sweet bab superheroine) and I've realized that Uchis are pretty cute! I think it was Cherry's appearance more than her dialogue that was barring me from appreciating her.

Antonio made me really love the jock personality! It might just be him though. He's so anxious that he makes me look calm and I just want to hug him! Bill was my original jock and I don't know why, but I never really warmed up to him as I don't care about obsessive exercising.

I think Frita's making me like the uchi personality if only she didn't mysteriously disappear all the time. I ended up really liking my original uchi, Deirdre, but she always starting singing after she sold me something and made me feel like I was being ripped off. And she has that dialogue where it shows what she's really thinking.

I gotta admit, despite jock types being my favorite personality types I'm not too keen at jock types when I first played Animal Crossing. I've seen Snake and Genji before on an old friend's game and I like them, but I didn't knew they were jock types.

Tank was my first jock but he was so rude and irrelevant. I had Roald too, the second jock I had, and like the same reasons OP, I like that he's a tubby that brags about his muscles. I loved Roald's competence in Fishing/Bug tourneys too. It felt like a challenge when he was around. Now that I had Snake, Genji, and Bam in my current town it feels so fun and lively around there. Even with repeated dialogues, I enjoy having those three jocks I have right now. Jocks got amazing villager designs and I appreciate how much they're so full of life. Heck, I feel motivated to get fit whenever my jock villagers talk to me with such pep.

I'm slowly starting to learn to appreciate smug types. I had Lionel and he was really boring and hardly got around with the ladies. But Chadder? He's so influential and gentlemanly, and that cheese mouse is the only guy in my town to have some guts to talk and to befriend my lady villagers.

Oh same here, I used to not favour jocks as much. Now that all my jocks have moved out of my town, I kind of miss them and their presence that made my town feel more as a whole. I hope I'll be able to appreciate them more as you have cx

i'm not the biggest fan of jocks (if i had to rank my favorite personalities, they'd be last) but they've grown on me. all three of the jocks i have in my active towns are really great, especially poncho. i've heard lots of new dialogue from him and he's just so cute, you wouldn't think he was a jock.

also, i was never all that keen on smugs, but that was also because i'd never had a good one. kyle is my favorite now (for the same reason as poncho, really - lots of new dialogue, for whatever reason) but julian & kidd are great too. i think it's all about having the right one.​

Jocks were my least favorite until Drift moved in. This adorable happy frog dude brags about muscles he doesn't have.. He's just a little guy. So tiny that if he stands in the flowers, all you can see is his head. He's so confident, maybe delusional, and I absolutely love him!

I have always loved the jocks. They are so positive, friendly and encouraging. They never have a mean thing to say about anyone and akways greet you with a smile. My current list of jocks include Mac, Scoot, Teddy, Cousteau and Rod. Love them all!

jocks would be the 4th on my favorite personality list. i like how theyre so funny sometimes and they address female characters as ladybro lol. kid cat and rudy always boast about their muscles but tbh, they look skinny. also, genji should be a smug, not a jock.

Used to not like Cranky Villagers, but that changed with Vic. He's such a cuddly and sweet-in-a-gruff way villager. He's also a Pirate and I love pirates <3
