I think i missed the gold balloon. is it too late for me?

its been a few days since i got the nook mile achievement and my bf is telling me how he just got it and how he just found the gold balloon and i was like "i was supposed to be looking for that???"

will it ever grace my presence ever again?

I'm like 90% sure it will come back eventually! You might have to pop a couple more balloons first before it shows up

It will come back! I missed the gold balloon too and it showed up around...I want to say two weeks later. I have no idea what triggered the reappearance though. A little research online turned up the theory that you needed to pop 300 more balloons and "re-qualify" for the golden slingshot but that wasn't the case for me.

I'm pretty sure it took me a few days after I got the achievement to find my gold balloon as well, so I wouldn't be too worried~
