I suddenly like Dom?

So I really didn't like Dom in the beginning. First I thought Dom was a female and I kinda thought Dom was a strange name. Then I found out he was a guy. Still he was too cutesy and I didn't think the name suited such a cutesy design. I felt like Dom should be the name for a mafia boss rhino XD anyway, I didn't much care for Dom. Then i saw a video of him opening a peach surprise box and his facial expressions were so adorable! Then he Naruto-ran outta there and I just about died T_T now I want him so bad hahaha

I usually don’t like jocks very much, but it works with Dom for some reason for me anyway.

I don't have space right now hehe. Plus I'm not ready to let go of my jock Poncho just yet! But one day when it's Poncho's time to go, I'll have to hunt for Dom <3

Same haha. Initially I saw him on islands and didn't take him but on my 3rd time seeing him I decided to see if I would like him. Now I have him as my permanent jock villager. His expressions are too cute and he's always zooming around the place!

I had him as a starting villager while resetting for that 2nd time. I didn't like him and still don't, (TBH I don't like many of the new villagers) so I moved him out and gave him to someone who did.

Even if I found them on a Mystery island tour, I wouldn't even take them. (Unless i'd sell them for a quick buck)

I used to really dislike all the new villagers (mainly cuz I was disappointed that there were only 8). But I got Megan and fell in love with her. Then I got Reneigh and ended up loving her too. Then now Dom captured my heart D: These new villagers have some voodoo powers, they can manipulate my cold heart! I really was convinced I'd hate them all forever.

The only one I really think I would never warm up to is Judy. She's too cutesy... but that's also what I said about Dom so who knows.

honestly i didn't think i'd end up liking him either but like many others have mentioned, his facial expressions are priceless. he joined my island about two weeks ago and i couldn't be happier. hope you'll get him one day!

Same, when the game was first released I didn't think much of Dom but he really grew on me after watching a few compilation videos of funny moments in ACNH. His big, beady eyes are the cutest thing ever!

Same here. Even worse for me is, whenever I see Dom, I think of DOM which is an acronym for Dirty Old Man.

But I think the biggest selling point about Dom is his face. Those big watery eyes that get compressed into cute watery dashes when he's happy. The downward slanting mini brows that say "I'm not aggressive! And empathetic to boot!" That adorable kitty-smug w-shaped mouth that bursts into a wide toothy grin when he's zooming around like Naruto a plane.

I have Dom on my island. I take way too many screenshots of him. Love that face.

Yes definitely the face is his selling point <3 Also "Dom" just made me think of dominant as in submissive/dominant. LOL. I wish we could give the villagers nicknames. Some names just do not suit the animal! Hahaha

I think his look and actions and everything are soooo freaking adorable but I don't know if I can quite separate "Dom" from my filthy, filthy college roommate who pretended the smoke alarm kept going off because of steam from the shower (not because he was smoking inside, don't be crazy, no of course that's not cigarette smoke you can smell! omfg.), whose room was like 2 solid feet high of garbage, and who'd started dating a gal, got married, had kids, and then got divorced again in less time than it took for my boyfriend (now husband) and I to even get engaged lollll. I CAN'T GET OVER THE NAME.
