I unfortunately don't have access to my old Wii, so I had to start a new town on my WiiU and City Folk. I now run my town in New Leaf and care for a town on the Wii. I actually have this much free time for a bit. It's honestly really fun to play again. New leaf may have spoiled me in many ways, but I still love playing an older game just because I really wanna play on my Wii from time to time. It feels especially homie for me since I have two of the same villagers on both my Wii and DS. I was so shocked to see Chief in my Wii town after he had been living in my DS town for some time and my lovely Marina just moved into my City town yesterday! It almost feels like an extension of my town on my DS. While I miss a few things that are definitely lacking I found myself having a rather easy time jumping back into the older games. I never really ever played online with the older games so it isn't any different from the way I used to experience this game. How about you? Have you tried picking up any old Animal Crossing games? Created a new town? Saved a past town from despair after neglecting it for years?

I'll most likely never play CF again. I visit my GameCube town once a year. I can't play Wild World anymore because I got bricked.

That sucks for your Wild World, and I'm not surprised that you haven't picked up your CF simply because it's been years since New Leaf's release already. It took a long time for me to pick up that game again, but I got in the groove of it. Who knows though. I may put it down after a week and never touch it again xD.

I don't really see much point in going back to city folk since they cut off wifi, as that was definitely the top feature for me. I kinda feel like the wifi community was so much better on wii, back when it was more about having a good time than trading items and stuff :>

Idk though, might pick it up again sometime.

I agree on the WiFi. I didn't use it back then, but now that I use it so frequently on New Leaf it makes me wish I could use it on my older games for the Wii and DS.

I would be playing CF, but the disc is currently stuck in my crappy wii.
It's my favourite of the animal crossing series, and what do you know, I can't play it.
It wouldn't register the discs I put in for a while, and now it won't even turn on. I've done multiple things to try to fix it, but nothing works.

I bought City Folk off of eBay a couple weeks ago and I play it from time to time, but unsurprisingly not as much as New Leaf. I just don't really like the controls on the Wii I suppose. It's the first game I've actually played on there in a long time though, my Wii has basically just become a Netflix machine.

I got pretty cute villagers in my town too.. mainly Punchy and Wendy. Minus Camofrog. I swear he's out to kill me but maybe that's just me.

I wouldn't be surprised if Camofrog really was trying to do away with you! Sometimes the Animals in my town say some pretty suspicious things. Their cute appearances may help hide their true intentions, but I'm on to them. ;D

I literally just picked mine back up. I've gotten so far in new leaf, even though this new town of mine is only like around 6 months old, I've fully expanded my house, and nearly completed my museum. My town is covered in plant life and I have all the furniture I really want for my house. Not much else to do, but occasionally donate to the museum and play with my animals.

It's been so long since I played City Folk. Now I want to turn it on and see who my villagers were and how I decorated my house. It's been so long that I can't remember.
