Hello, I am Gen and I have been a fan of AC since my friend showed it to me on her Gamecube. I just started my Wild World game up and I would love to have some friends to play with to make it more fun. Lmk!

Welcome to TBT! I don’t have Wild World anymore, but I’m sure there’s people here that do!

Welcome to TBT, @Gengei!

Unfortunately online play is no longer supported for this game, but I'm sure you'll still find plenty of people to talk to about it.

Hi Gengei!! I don’t think WW has online features anymore, but I’m always down to talk about it! :)

Welcome to TBT! I believe, as the members above me has said, that WW doesn't support online features anymore. Regardless, I hope you enjoy your time on the forums!

Welcome! I still have Wild World but unfortunately Nintendo shut down the Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection (WFC) service for the DS and Wii back in 2014 if I remember rightly. However, I'm always up to chat about it, etc.

That said, however, welcome to TBT.

Welcome! I just started a new town in WW, and am very much down to chat about it!

Though Nintendo shut the services down I believe there is a way to work around that.. I am in the process of trying that out (read: figuring out someone else's instructions), so if it all works I will let you know!

yeah I saw that thread, I did think that there was a way around it.

Hey, I'd love some friends to talk about it with

I was debating playing WW as it's the only entry in the series I never picked up...I actually thought I'd never have people to play with and that was the deterrent for me. This might change everything...

First of all...is everyone who is still playing this playing via the Wii U or the DS? Wii U has it available as an eshop download...and Wii U servers are still up and running, so I think this nullifies the connectivity problem?

The only issue I saw people running into was that your town needs a human visitor for the final Nookingtons upgrade.

I play through my DS and I saw a thread for something called Wiimfi This post explains it but it requires a WEP key from your router which is pretty obsolete. I'm considering getting a mobile hotspot to play but I'm still undecided. Either way, it seems like we have some people who are willing to chat about it which I am very excited about!

Just to let anyone know who needed to know, there is no way to use multiplayer either locally or online using the Wii U port of WW - even though the Wii U servers are still up, those are for Wii U games not VC games, and this port of WW specifically had multiplayer taken out. Katie items are unobtainable, but they did tweak the game in order to allow you to get Nookingtons on your own in this port.
