You may call me strange, but I prefer unoriginal villagers more than original villagers.

1. It shows they were loved! I much prefer having unoriginal for the fact they got around the town and the mayor looked after them. Original shows they weren't touched and were just sold off (nothing wrong with that!)

2.Maybe they look better/house looks better! lol

This is my opinion, but I don't mind original but I thought I'd share my thoughts xD

Hmmmm... I like unoriginal but I feel as if the originals are kinda rescued so they finally can be loved. With originals I feel as though I am like saving them lol. Although some originals like my lolly have been loved deeply except they aren't too fond of changing clothes and phrases lol.

I don't mind either. I guess it is more interesting to see what changes have been made to their homes and clothing.

well to adopt them i prefer originals
but as time goes il just give them what they want even thought they become unoriginal

I never had a preference in the past, but then after visiting one of my villager's houses after a long time, and seeing how awful it looked, I decided that I didn't want to get other villagers who's houses basically looked like this one. Loved or not, these villagers have no shame lol. Yes, Chief, you TOTALLY need 3 of the same guitar in your house...

If I adopt or buy a villager I'd like the unoriginal. Since they talk about the previous town anyway, might as well go all in with the experience. And it can be a fun project trying to help the villagers get their houses in order :)

I don't have a preference, I just don't really like when the greeting has been changed (but you can put it back anyway so I guess it's not a big deal), that's the one thing I don't change with the villagers I have in my town, I love when they change their clothes and things in their house, it makes i't more real to me

I disagree with this. All 10 of my villagers have original or mostly original houses and I love them all dearly. Just because you don't change a villagers furniture doesn't mean you don't care about them. I've had Ankha for a long time yet I haven't changed a thing in her house because I love it the way it is already. I don't want to have a bunch of random, ugly items like a gas pump, toilet, or a bunch of bugs/fish in my villagers houses. Also, one time I adopted a villager from someone and their house was almost empty because most of their furniture was removed.

I like original clothing because it usually compliments their character. I rarely go into their houses so I don't mind if it's messed up, but I do like it when they come original so I can steal some of their stuff :) Maybe this time round I'll give them furniture I know will look good in their houses... for example Chief in my town, I like everything about him except his house. I'll probably try and redesign it into something I think suits him better.

Unoriginal villagers are pretty cool, 'cause you never know what you're gonna get when you adopt them. And you get to see how the original mayor affected that villager before they're passed on to you.

I don't mind if the villager is original or not because I'll be working on them myself d:

I mean, I don't mind if my villagers aren't PERFECTLY original. As long as their house looks nice and their clothes are tolerable, I don't mind!
Sometimes I give animals customized furniture. For example, Chief has the red electric guitar. I gave him a refurbished blue one. It gives my villagers something unique!

Same! The originals finally get a loving home with you so they can slowly become unoriginal. My sweet Rosie, whom I bought 100% original, has changed her shirt and I've replaced some of the items in her house with things that I think suit her. Do I care? No. I feel like unoriginality over a period of living in your town makes it feel like your villagers are more settled in and are officially "part of your town". Truth be told, the only villager in my town 100% original is Ankha, and that's because she's the one villager where any furniture or clothes that go against her Egyptian vibe would really bother me.

One of my villagers had 3 of the same guitars too. The mayor and 2 extra players gave it to them during the Toy Day challenge to get the prize.

I fine with unoriginal villagers houses. It's fun seeing how their old mayor decorated it.

O'Hare and Peggy invited me to their houses. They offered me island items.
The items in their houses can be changed if it's messy.

The only time I don't like unoriginals is when they have an awful shirt pattern. Like the beginning patterns from the Sable sisters, or a shirt that doesn't look good on them. However, I love it when they have a shirt pattern the previous mayor made for them. That's cute.

I like unoriginal villagers unless they have a inappropriate greeting/saying, a stupid ugly shirt, a house with ugly furniture, and stuff like that. If they have a better house/saying/shirt than how it is original, then it's fine
