I planted 100 flowers yet I am still told I need to plant more

So for the last couple of days I have been trying to get that three star rating so that I can start terraforming my island but there is a problem.

I followed through on most things like decorations , trees and villagers along with bridges and I also planted 100 flowers , yet Isabelle keeps on saying I need to plant more flowers even though I already have a 100 of them,how many flowers does that crazy puppy even want me to plant before she is satisfied?

Surely I am not the only one struggling with this problem, how did you fix this problem?

Going by this guide, you might want to plant 100 more for a total of 200. I'd suggest going to multiple mystery islands and ransacking all the flowers they have until you reach that number.

I covered my island in flowers at the beginning of the game, so Isabelle never told me to plant any. I’ve never counted my flowers, but I’ve given away hundreds of them and my island is still almost completely covered in flowers. So you may need to plant a lot more.

in the grand scheme of things, 100 flowers isn't a lot. it's just a 10x10 area with flowers.

as someone else mentioned, around 200 makes isabelle more content

I don't know for sure, but I've been told that Isabelle doesn't look at your island as a whole, but sections. So if you have all/most of your flowers in one area, the other areas will lead Isabelle to say you don't have enough.

I didn't even plant 100 flowers before Isabelle gave me three stars! That's crazy! Maybe buy a pocketful of hybrids from someone on the forum or plant a few more seeds. I ended up planting less flowers but more spread out around the island. So each grid on the map probably had 4-5 on it somewhere. I also watered them a lot so they spread quickly!

It was difficult trying to find places to put flowers since I didn't want huge fields of flowers or anything like that.

100 sounds like a lot, but in the grand scheme of things... it's not really that much. I'd recommend finding designated areas on your island to absolutely fill to the brim with flowers for Isabelle, which can then be thrown out/sold when you no longer want them.
