I now have a new Most Hated Villager.

So I arranged a trade for Peanut over on the villager trade board, which was awesome because Peanut is still my absolute favorite villager. I went to go pick her up and for some reason couldn't get her to come to my town.

I return to Timeru to find out why, and quickly discover the issue: Tipper put down a plot as my 10th villager. I have no idea where she came from, so I can only assume I somehow got her from a void from a previous cycling village, or from the guy that came to pick up Rosie.

I am filled with rage, fury, and righteous anger at the temerity of keeping me from acquiring my favorite villager ever.

Now I'm stuck with the dumb beast for god knows how long. I'll have to rely on the tactic of talking to her once and then never interacting with her again (aside from occasionally taking out a net or axe and swinging it at her out of sheer annoyance).

I just want to punch something now.

I'm so sorry this happened to you, especially since knowing that you don't time travel. I had gotten an unwanted villager from a void once and it took me months (with time travelling involved, but it was still months too) to get her out! For me, ignoring her didn't work out to well, but befriending her did. Good luck on getting rid of her!

Last month I was giving away Bunnie when I picked up Roscoe from someone's void. Before this I didn't know it was even possible to pick up a villager from someone's void when someone is in boxes in your town. I always thought you needed nine villagers or less for that to happen.

Yeah, Nintendo threw in way too many ways to "avoid" losing villagers to the void. Fun fact: the only way to prevent it is to actually have 10 villagers. Even 9 isn't safe; back with my first village, I picked up Annalise from my younger brother's void with STREETPASS while I had 9 villagers.

Apparently you can clear your void by traveling to a village with 10 villagers already in it. Which is going to be a requirement the next time I give away a villager.

god, i feel you. its terrible i know. same thing happened to me not once but twice! first time i wasnt getting any 10th villager but i discovered cesar as my 10th from someones void. i hated him so much ever since. i didnt just hate cesar, but i hated the person who forgot to clear their void.took me a lot of effort to move cesar out. second time was even more terrible. i planned to get blanche as my 10th and to do this, i had to move erik out and someone was interested on him so they came over to my town without clearing their void too! and guess what? blanche plotted the next day! and no, its not a good thing because she plotted on a spot where i planned to build the bus stop on. i had to move marshal out to get her out and i had to find a new 1oth villager. in the end i ended up with cranston.

Poor Tipper. I personally adore her. However, acquiring an unexpected void villager is beyond frustrating when you're not expecting it, so I absolutely feel your pain and frustration. Best way to avoid this: insist anyone who visits for any reason clears their void before coming over. You can also pick up void villagers via Streetpass, so if you have less than ten villagers, turn off it off if you are bringing your DS out with you. And please try not to abuse Tipper too much. She is the innocent victim here. Too bad we can't hit the guy who didn't clear his void with our squeaky hammer.

I'm sorry about your tenth. I'd be pretty ticked off too if I got somebody else instead of my all time favourite villager. I honestly would be so put off from playing the game, I don't think i'd pick it up for a while. I received Cookie from a streetpass before I could bring in my tenth. I was a little annoyed but I like Cookie so it's not all that big of a deal. Also, the method of ignoring them doesn't always work sometimes you need to be friendly with them in order to get them to move. From experience ignoring doesn't really work for me. Tipper's okay though, it could've been worse. You could've got Jambette. Just a quck note though your tenth won't move out until somebody else does. So on the bright side you may be able to get somebody else out that you werent able to before.

You need to have someone else move first I believe. The last villager who recently moved in won't move until someone else does.

Sometimes the void is the worst. I am constantly getting my brother's voided villagers because our 3DSs streetpass frequently.

Occasionally I get a good villager though! I have gotten Bob and Eloise from him. ^^

The same thing just happened to me when I went to pick up Mitzi!!! I had free space when I went to get her though and she wouldn't come... so I tried TTing forward one day and Al's plot showed up. ?!?!?!?

Al is my least favorite villager of all time, and that's not just because he infuriated me.

Ugh! I know that feeling! Someone came over to my town last year to adopt a villager and drop off this thing!

Worst of all, he was wearing a default pattern outfit!

I was so angry that day!, I almost restarted my game because of it. I did hit him with a net every time I seen him outside..but then I realize that wouldn't make the trash move out quicker so I just started TT to get him to move out and sadly I had to let someone move

Then I had invited a villager in from the campsite (Lobo) to knock Avery out of the 10th villager slot (Well 9th now) and after 12 time travels, Avery finally packed up!

Never letting anyone invite another villager from my town without cleaning their void first!
