Heya, I'm December Winterwolf (duh), and I'm... something of a new Animal Crossing player, I only started in January of this year! I currently only have New Leaf, but I'm looking into getting Wild World soon (well, after I get Professor Layton and the Azran Legacy).
In terms of likes, well, I mentioned Professor Layton. I also enjoy playing Animal Jam (mostly Classic), I sometimes play Club Penguin Legacy, I started looking at EmuFeral, and I'm slowly learning Japanese so I can experience some games in their original format and get Pokemon for cheaper lol
Anyways, nice to meet you guys!

Edit: I have now acquired Wild World and started a save (and picked up Super Smash Bros for 3DS as well lol), and have a Switch Lite on the way!

hi!!! you sound very cool
i used to play aj (play wild) but i dont anymore. i would play classic but since wildworks doesnt really care about aj classic theres a bunch of hackers : /

will you ever get any other ac games or are you just focusing on those two??

Hey welcome to the forums! Wild World is fun! There's some really cool features I wish they brought over to New Leaf and New Horizon. You can make star constellations with Celeste and at night they show up outside.

Thanks everyone, I look forward to talking to people more on here!

Honestly that's fair, I've noticed it's a lot harder to get people to have a conversation in AJPW. And as for Classic, I'll admit the bot problem used to be a lot worse than it is now, and they have been coming out with some cool updates, even if most of it is still rehashed stuff (for example, they re-released a den that hasn't been around since the beta testing of the game, as well as items with colour variants also unseen since the beta days, all for the game's 15th birthday). Since I took a looong break from Animal Jam between my first 2014-2016 playtime and my early 2025 return I'm still acquainting myself with all the updates that came out since then, so a lot of the things that are quite new to me probably won't be new for you, haha!

I think for now I'll stick to those two - heck, I don't even have Wild World yet! I've been wanting to get a release-model Wii for a while, so I'll most likely end up with City Folk (apparently it's called Animal Crossing: Let's Go to the City in EU regions??) and the GCN game at some point, but that'll be once I figure out a place to put it (and once I have my parents' permission to actually have a Wii - we already have a PS2 and a PS4). It'll be more likely for me to get a Switch first, especially since my friend now has a Lite, so New Horizons will, at some point, be on the horizon (haha aren't I so funny... please laugh) for me too! I'm still debating on whether I should choose the Switch 2 over the original Switch, so that'll most likely wait as well. My most likely course of action right now is to get a Switch Lite, and then maybe get a Switch 2 if it has good enough games, although £67 per digital copy seems a bit steep.

Ooh, I didn't know that, it sounds really cool! I do kind of wish that feature got implemented in New Leaf, I feel the far edge of town with the bench could've been a great spot for it - but ah well, we don't always get what we want.

get a switch, since they are basically the same thing. switch 2 just has higher resolution and a couple other small things

Thanks for the heads up! I've since ordered a Switch Lite (since I don't have a TV, and none of the games that exclusively work with detachable Joy-Cons particularly appeal to me as of now), should be coming between Tuesday and Thursday.
